Let's bring you up to speed on Wicked Twister, since we've had a lot of questions about it. The ride is currently undergoing standard off-season maintenance. Nothing to worry about. Wicked Twister will twist again on Opening Day. Oh, speaking of Opening Day, when you arrive and ride Millennium Force, you may notice something a little different on Millennium Island. It was so nice out yesterday, we took a stroll over there. The peaceful setting of the park is just breathtaking. (pic of the lagoon near MF island)
But then there's this... (pic of the cleared land)
As you may have guessed, we're doing something over there. But "what?" is the question...

This whole deleted blog entry doesn't surprise me... Yall remember how the Planet Snoopy logo was on the site for a little while, then deleted?
And now the cam is gone! Call the pres call the pd call the fbi everything is missing from the cedarpoint.com. But, really it's gone.
I see a test run of a new something on cedarpoint.com in our future.

i still got it up... but yes its not on the page anymore
Obviously everyone has missed the reason for the tree clearing.According to park mgmt the soil in the lagoon area has become so unstable and soft that the fear of the island sinking is becoming a reality.Engineers have been summoned to fix the problem by using steel beams piledriven to bedrock to form an underground dam. Then they will begin drilling holes and pouring concrete into these holes to form concrete pillars to stabilize the soil.
Apperantly during the construction of Millennium Force this was overlooked (not sure because of budget cuts or someother reason)or not acted upon and now emergency repairs must be made.
You would think they would have learned their lessons from the Magnum sinking debacle but I guess not.
After seeing that the new cam has absolutely nothing to do with M. Island, I tend to think that someone told T & T to remove their post/pictures of the area. Seeing it up close really showed how much clearing they have done...certainly something is up their sleeve.
What doesn't make sense about that logic, though, is why they would care. So people are "buzzing" about something new...why is that a bad thing?

i didn't see the pictures though... but we know damn well about the tree clearing...
Yeah maybe the pictures are what the post was taken off for. Many people including me get an alert to their inbox, that has the post without pictures, maybe if it wasn't for the pics it would still be up because they know we would just post the words not the photos on here anyways.

That reminds me of this pic I photoshopped back in 06. I think it's appropriate for what we're dealing with about now.:)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v175/Dragster420/4211.jpg
