Imagine that! ;)

The latest Tweet from Cedar Point is "Renderin' some video. Looks Great!" I think we'll be hearing an announcement soon!

The presumably informed (and most logical, given what we know as fact) theory is that its a log flume.

I heard a guy named Riley Martin claim that he heard from the Biaviians that CP was getting an Intamin Prefab. I don't know how reliable this source is.
I was wondering if the pumpkins on the comic in the video were ever pointed out. It seems to me it hints towards halloweekends. What are your thoughts?

The question is, what could be done with log flumes to update or modernize them?
I would love to see some of the new waterslide technology get adapted to flumes. I'm thinking specifically of ProSlide's installation of Wildebeest at Holiday World for 2010. It's a conventional waterslide with a conveyor for the initial lift, but with multiple LIM launches that accelerate the rafts back uphill. If something like this could be utilized with a log flume, then you would have the best of both worlds in one ride.
No that I think this has anything to do remotely with what CP is building for next year.

^ I mentioned that I would love to see that exact same idea a few pages back, but nobody even replied. I thought it was a neat idea! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's be fun.

I am also intrigued by the flume idea utilizing LIM technology. You could really create an intense flume ride! I would imagine we aren't too far from that being a reality.

Someone brought that up at CoasterMania either this year or last year, I forget which. They flat out said, "Intamin Prefabs are something we're not considering right now." So even if they do ever build one at the park, it's probably more than 5 years away, considering they pretty much work on a 5 year plan with their larger projects.

Or when Monty retires...I'm perfectly content with GCIs, though I will admit I have yet to ride El Toro.
On the flume with LIMs thing, that would be very interesting. The LIMs on the new slide appear to be flat and part of the slide surface, instead of the fins we're used to seeing. Perhaps RideMan could enlighten us on this particular topic?

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Riley Martin doesn't know what he is talking about. It is obviously going to be a Moistened Mulch Pile.
Undomesticated equines could not remove me.
Who knows why the Biaviians would tell Riley Marting false information. Hell, Riley could have just misunderstood them all together. Maybe they were trying to say exactly what Jason said, but Riley thought they were saying that an Intamin was confirmed. Who knows?
Closed topic.
