Just came across something here as a possibility.
KD and CW are coming out with NASCAR themed rides centered around Dale Sr. After a little searching around I came up with Dover International Speedway. It has 2 nicknames, the "Monster Mile" and "White Lightning". Just tossing more poo against the wall here....
*edit - adding everything from this point forward*
I also just came across the book "White Lightning" by Don Keith and Kent Wright. The description of the book is as follows:
"White Lightning", a stock car racing novel from authors Kent Wrightand Don Keith, is first in a new series of stock car fiction called"Rolling Thunder." This book gives the reader a realistic look insidethe early days of stock car racing in America and the type of men whogot involved in racing.
"Set in the mid 1950s we follow Jodell Bob Lee, his cousin Joe and theirfriend Bubba as they make the transition from running moonshine todriving race cars. New NASCAR fans as well as seasoned NASCAR veteranswill enjoy this book as it provides insight into the roots of NASCARracing."
Albeit a long shot, perhaps a dueling NASCAR themed Intamin coaster is a posibility? I know you all are skeptical of the dueling idea but putting clues together and guessing is part of the fun.

Um, I don't think you're aware of Grand Rapids and Thunderhawk then.
GR isn't a coaster, and Thunderhawk isn't a "shiny new coaster" but a leftover (albeit a good one) from Geauga Lake.

What clues? That parks A and B are getting X, so C must as well? I'm not so sure that's a clue.
Cedar Point already has a racing coaster, and we know whatever they're getting next year fills a gap in their lineup. You really shouldn't ignore major, important clues in favor of absurd ones.

I guess this ride is going to be nothing but left turns!!!!!and just think you will get 250 laps(rides)in a row. What a long wait that ride will be!!!!!
I was away from my computer for a day and a half and had more than 15 pages on this thread to catch up on....unbelievable!
Has there ever been a longer thread on this site?
Please remain in your seat until the ride comes to a complete and final stop.

this has got to have something to do with it.... lol
i still say coaster (who is buying my season pass if im right) lol
I now this has been said before, but invert the colors again. The Crystal Rock Bottling Company Logo looks like an ice/water color. Also, never noticed the two set of eyes above the MF logo. Even stranger, when I inverted the colors before, it never showed it, but two straight streaks of orange going through the s and the k in strikes are there. Racing flumes maybe?
What Has Soccer got to do with a roller coaster? It is going to be a rollercoaster it will be a racing coaster i just-have this weird feeling about it it just seems to have this racing feel to it all you look at the bottle -moonshine that is where NASCAR got its start from I'm telling you.
but like everyone else well just have to wait and see when thay announce it.......
Racing coaster or flume racer, I'm betting it's one or the other.

Maybe a racing flume wouldn't be as boring, and it would be family-friendly. Personally I don't care about family-friendly because I think there are enough kiddy rides and would like to see more thrill rides but I know some are in favor of family rides.

If you think flumes are boring, I would suggest you ride the ones in Florida.
Of course, if you've already ridden those and still think they're boring, you should maybe just stay home. ;)

I don't really know how I feel about this. Part of me is wishing that it isn't an Intamin flume. Another part of me sees it could be cool. And even another part of me thinks that it will be really boring.
Still not sure, though it appears that if they go with the Intamin flume, the boat ride will be gone. ;(

Family friendly does not mean kiddy ride, it means a ride that is able to accommodate the entire family, and most important, can be enjoyed by everyone, not just small kids.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I would still rather see a new thrill ride than a tame, family-friendly ride.

And there's nothing wrong with wanting a new thrill ride, so long as you understand that what you want and what's best for the park aren't always going to be the same thing.
