Hello all fellow PointBuzz users and this past sunday night i went to cp along with my fasha (father... lol) and as requested i have the complete story!
Sunday night we arrived about 7 (they close at 8) and decided to catch a few rides. In that hour we got Wicked Twister, Raptor, and Disaster Transport. All three of them were walk on too. (As one of my theries prove sunday nights are always dead)
Also we stayed at the best budget inn. (someone asked me personally)
Monday we got in at 9.30 w/ joe cool and ran for TTD front seat and it was a walk on with a little bit of a wait for the front. We noticed that TTD still does a the sign showing your speed and it still says fastest roller coaster on the planet. But other than that there are no advertisements for its ranking with Kingda Kai coming. As normal we did the back of the park Magnum, Gemini, and Mean Streak and they were all walk on too. (Gemini = Blue Train Running Only) We took the train to MF and it was the same. We rode Millennium Force with a 30 min wait and waited an extra 15 for the front. Now about noon we ate at Coasters with 2 burgers and water. Then we rode Mantis and Iron dragon both walk on. Then the front of the park and it was walk on too. (except MaxAir with a 15 min wait) Maxair is a good ride and it doesnt get you sick, but it did get our stomachs "out there". Being about 3, we had done all the main features of CP and it was fun.
Tuesday = pretty much the same... except of rain sprinkles coming and going.
Wednesday was the amazing part... We decided to go to MF first at 9.30 only to find out it was "down due to mechanical reasons" as it was tuesday morning. We saw the blue train go with water jugs in the first few seats and decided to wait it out. After a few more test runs we saw CP workers come over wearing tags that said "Film Crew" and they were looking around the MF. Then the one guy asked the people behind us if they minded being in a comercial on MF. Then they asked the next people and then us! They said we would ride it over and over, and would get paid! The negitives were signing a minor agreement sheet, and fliping our shirts inside out. (my dad had a KennyWood one, and i had a Nike one) About right then and there MF opened and about a minute later we were good to go. (along with about 20 other people) I'll make this short and say i rode it 15 times (9 back to back, and then 6) We left for home after that...
Ending Statements: if you arrive and MF is "down due to mechanical reasons", sit it out for about 20-30 minutes.
all other coasters including TTD NEVER went down
and The park is completly dead (until June)
C-ya Guys Later!
Save a ballon, pop a collar
Wow, that is awesome! 15 times!!!!!! And TTD didn't even shut down at all throughout those moments with rain???
Millennium Force Crew 2007
Raptor Crew 2008
Yeah I was there today May 11th also. I got 7 rides in during the MF commercial shoot. I was on for the last 7 rides they did for it.
