I also hope that the boneville areas do not have any music over them. However Im all for music on the other sections.
Oooo..I never thought about that^. I would think the train wouldn't have music during Boneville, due to the animations and the sounds that those have already.
I could see the music just from the first station up till the mean streak sation.

Yeah, really it's just the trip from the Main Midway station to the Frontiertown station that needs a little spicing up... that trip is so boring - just Perimeter road to your left and a couple coasters to your right. At least the trip from Frontiertown to the Main Midway has Boneville and the lagoons.
The train at BGE has auto spiels and in my opinion, it hardly distracts from the peacefulness.

I don't think the train ride from Main Midway to Frontiertown is that bad at all. Sometimes, the quiet and lack of noise on that half of the ride is what's needed when you're constantly bombarded with noise from the coasters, games areas, other people, etc.
As for visuals, I still think there's a lot of good stuff to see: on the left, Sandusky Bay and the city across the water (and ships/sailboats every so often), and on the right, close up views of Millennium Force, Thunder Canyon, and Maverick (also, Mean Streak to an extent).
One of the cool things about CP is the many different viewpoints you can find of the coasters and other attractions in the park. The northbound side of the CP&LE Railroad definitely allows one to obtain a different view of things concerning the coasters and rides alongside its tracks.
The Scenic Railroad at Six Flags Great America has a spiel as well, it hardly conquers the peacefulness of that attraction, I honestly think it kind of adds to it. It'll give some of the GP insight to history of some of the attractions, etc...
^^I even understand what you mean, and im from Pittsburgh.

Now wait a second. The country music in the q drove you nuts. Country music is pumped thru every speaker in FT. Does that drive you nuts. Granted the music is much more noticeable in the que line that on the midway.

I'm not a country fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I think this could actually be good for the ride. After riding the train at KI last weekend where they use music and spiels, I thought it was a nice, subtle touch. I'm looking forward to this addition if it does indeed happen.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
^^I don't spend much time in Frontiertown, but yes, I guess waiting in the queue line for the Maverick I noticed it a lot more. I'm just not much of a country music fan, but now 80's rock music in the Raptor queue line is awesome!
Well cmon guys FT is a country themed area of the park..do you want them to play per-say hip-hop or rock? it just wouldnt go with the whole concept..ya know?

What HAS happened to Paddlewheel is that the park has encroached on it so much that it is hard to avoid talking about the coasters and so forth. I mean, one minute you are passing a family shoot out (Hatfield and McCoy style) and 15 seconds later you are going past Mantis before turning the corner and seeing a 400' Dragster. It is like a woman trying to wear pieces of outfits from several different decades. You can try to tie it all together but it just ain't gonna work.
Not to start another "Don't Cut Down All the Trees!" thread, I miss the atmosphere PE once had before the Mantis, MF, Camp Snoopy, and TDD additions.
Before you start worrying about what the soundtrack
is going to be like, let's see if the equipment first
gets installed. As of last Friday absolutely no work
that could be construed to have anything to do with an
onboard system has been started on either train. They are
still working on the conductor's gates on the last cars
and finishing up installing the handicap ramp on the
other train.

True, as long as they don't play John Denver.. (shutter). I grew up with my mom listening to that most of my life, I can do without him.
As Dutchman was saying, don't count on it happening by opening day or at all this season. Hearing from the guys that work on the CP & LE RR there is alot of work to do to make this happen and nothing has even been started as of yet. More info can be found at www.cplerr.com

Well guess what, they did it. One train was outfitted
earlier this week, the other one next week. My under-
standing is that they talk about the coasters that the
train goes by, and there is narration as it goes through
Boneville, all with bluegrass/railroad themed music
playing under the speil.
The Country music isn't out of place in frontiertown...What is? How about the G^$D%#ned ESPN music playing at the %$### 3-point basketball game near the old shooting gallery by the stockade?
Like prospectors in the old west were having hip-hop fueled 3 point shootouts? Again, unless you're a 15 year old kid who happened to leave his ritalin in Michigan, Big Dick Kinzel and friends don't want your loyalty.
(Your money, perhaps, but not your loyalty.)
