That is always the train that half the time when I ride in that train, they have to unlock my restraint manually. Seems like that train is a bit of a rebel.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I was there on the 22nd and I can see why someone thought that it was derailed. I too thought it was as we drove into the Soak city lot to park but upon further inspection lasterin the evening it was just the way the train was sitting in the bend that made it look as if it were derailed. If I'm not mistaken they had it back up and running by about 9ish that night.
I rode Mean Streak Saturday the 22nd, early afternoon, and Sunday the 23rd, in the evening. I didn't notice anything unusual about the ride itself. I didn't even notice the ride broken down Saturday, but the park was very crowded and we didn't make as many laps around the joint as we usually do.

"Very crowded" is quite the understatement. :)

I was there on the 11th and 18th and noticed the 'skips' as well. I also noticed the lack of screeching around the turns. A friend was with me on the 18th who had never been to CP and he felt that MS was a great ride. He is NOT an enthusiast, but someone who likes wooden coasters.
Ready for this???? He felt that Magnum was a rougher ride and that MS was more enjoyable. In case you are wondering, we rode in the back of both trains.
Go figure....
There are 2 types of computer users in the world; those that back up often, and those that have never had a hard drive fail.
