So it is my first summer working at Cedar Point and I have absolutely no idea what to pack. I have been looking around the topics and I cant seem to get a clear list of what to bring. When I move in I want to make sure I have everything that I could possibly have. Even though home will be only a few hours or so away, I want to be prepared. Any tips?
Well, if you have a car don't worry too much. However, basically what I've needed is this: A bed, clothes, shampoo and soap, and money for food and the $100 deposit for housing. If you want to bring your laptop or ipad or something for downtime, you're welcome to, but some people are afraid of it being stolen. Thankfully I've ended up with a good roommate (and most of them are good) so I'm not too worried about my things, but if it worries you, leave it home. Depending on where you're working, you very well may be working as much as 12-16 hours some days. Other jobs, you may only be working 6. If you have more down time, you may need more things to spend time with--books, maybe a kindle, etc.
Basically, if you've ever packed for college, think like that... and then cut out everything that you don't use literally *EVERY* day.
