Let's play "Find the one-legged seagull"
Personally, I think that there would be a bit too many people in the park to shoot for my taste. It's one thing if they are extras and know it. It's different when there are hoodlums nearby who think "Wow. I could take that lens and be cool..."

If life is full of ups and down, you better make sure your safety restraint is locked and ENJOY the ride.
It would probably be too expensive to shoot an entire film at Cedar Point, considering that Sandusky doesn't really have a ready-made industry for that sort of thing.
If the movie itself mainly took place inside the park, with the Point's limited operating season, producers would have to have access to the park for three months or so, which, even if they figured out a way to shoot it without closing to the public, would be a massive, summer-long burden on parkgoers. Plus, if it were, say, an action movie, risk of damage to any coaster or non-film parkgoer would force insurance for the producers to skyrocket. The alternative (closing the park to the public for three peak months) would never happen.
The Shining would have been an exception to this, since the movie obviously takes place in the off-season.
If Cedar Point played a small role (like one or two scenes), it might be more feasible. But then, what's the point of travelling out to Ohio to shoot it?

Boycott the RIAA
The movie would be too expensive because, unless Cedar Fair is extremely gullible or blinded by product placement, you would have to pay them enough to make up for the lost revenue incurred from closing the park and/or inconveniencing parkgoers for an entire summer.
Add in the cost of moving and housing a large-scale production crew for three months, not to mention paying for big stars and special effects (which really cause those big budgets) to be in the movie, and it becomes too expensive really fast.
Of course, this is assuming that much of the film would be taking place at Cedar Point locations. That doesn't necessarily have to be true.
