Actually, it's in a pretty good place. Think about it. The adults get to ride a string of rides like Troika, Chaos, Dodgems, and then when it becomes big-coaster-line time again, at Gemini and Magnum, you have a good-sized kids area nearby to entertain the youngsters, who have grown restless and cranky since leaving Kiddie Land at the front of the park. I know that by the time I get back by the Gemini, I'm restless and cranky! :)

What about Soak City? I've never been that interested in water parks and IMOH the area would have been better served by leaving it alone and preserving the tranquility of that end of the park around camper village and Sandcastle, with the occasional screaming by of a Magnum train to remind you of where you are.
I can't believe that nobody has mentioned that giant ugly screen they use for the summer spectacular. What an Eyesore!
...and those mini-buildings with shafts in them for the lasers. It looks like WDW's Tommorrow Land in the middle of the CP Midway...

Yes, I vote for the Screen. They really should have taken it down this past season to allow the folks one last look at the former location of the Giant Wheel. I used to love the image of the train station with the wheel in the background. Just like the old logo.
