As you all are pros, and for a lot of you this is your home park(lucky bastards), what in your opinion are the best and worst things about CP?
Also where to eat? Spending almost three days there would like to know what everyone's favorite thing to eat there is and where to get it.
Thanks
JIM
One of my favorite things is being able to park my car and not touch it for X amount of days unless we go in town to the store or to eat, because we stay at Hotel Breakers. Our kids love to eat at TGI Fridays and Perkins in the Hotel, and Joe Cools Restaurant in the park. Famous Daves is a good option as well.
When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835
If eating in the park, I usually go to Panda Express for a later lunch so it will hold me over for the afternoon until we have a late dinner. It's located near Millennium Force at the beginning of the Frontier Trail. In terms of value for your money, it's the best non-sitdown and order restaurant in the park if you ask me.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
There is a Dairy Queen and Mcdonalds just out side of the park. You can never go wrong with that. My family usually likes to eat lunch at Coasters restaurant near Iron Dragon. We eat there every time we go and it's pretty good. IMO, the best place to eat inside the park.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
To start, there is nothing bad at CP! I love all the rides, and I have not had a bad experience on one! Happy Riding to! As for eating at the park, I would have to say going to the Mc Ds or Dairy Q's outside the park would be the cheapest way to go. My family, everytime we go, which is at least once a year, always brings a cooler with like a big sub in it, so we always keep it cheaper. The parks prices are a bit out there, but hey, its an amusement, so what are you to expect? Hope I was a bit of a help!
Good: The lines have gotten MUCH better. When I started coming on 02-03ish, the line for Millenium Force was 3+ hours, now it can get as low as half an hour. You can just ride smaller rides of you're not a coaster person(as I was not when I was younger)
Bad: Food. Every time I go there are horrible lines, overpriced food, and incompetent workers.
Our solution to the food is to simply pack a cooler full of lunch stuff. When the kids start grumbling, we get hand stamps, pull the cooler out of the car and hit the picnic area on the west side of the main gate. Gives everyone some time to relax, wind down, grab a bite and enjoy some shade and breeze off the bay for a bit. While not incredibly realistic for a one day visit, if you are going to be there for three days, you'll have plenty of time to hit all the rides you want and save some money as well.
One of the few Mean Streak lovers left in the world.
We like Gameday Grille and Johnny Rockets. Best thing about the park is Frontier Town, and getting a beer or Mike's Hard Lemonade and sitting outside Red Garter Saloon people watching. The worst part of the park for me is having only designated areas for smoking, but I tend to be considerate of others around me when I smoke anyway. Another great thing about CP is the Camper Village. I love camping in our RV, and it allows early entry. Plus it is inexpensive compared to other CP resorts. Another favorite is going to be the fast pass! Walking the boardwalk along the beach all the way to Sandcastle resort is pretty. And I can't leave out the fact that CP has the best thrill rides anywhere.
We love going to Cedar Point every year! Our favorite places to eat are Joe Cools Cafe in the park along with Coasters, and outside Famous Daves, TGI Fridays at the Breakers and Break Water Cafe for breakfast. We also love that Cedar Point has something for everyone including someone with Autism. The only bad thing about that place is the crowds that place gets on the weekends during the Summer and during Halloweekends, but those obstacles can be solved with good planning.
I love Cedar Point
