Jake, I'm well aware of the mega,giga,tera prefixes on such things as computer bytes, but it is a pure marketing ploy that started the "hyper"coaster...later deemed mega-coasters by B&M and Intamin. Then the giga coaster by Intamin. The 200 and 300 foot marks were compared to the million and billion bytes. You don't here coasters like Gemini called a kilocoaster, do you?
They were compared purely for marketing purposes, so the next time you want to say "ha. you are wrong" get the facts straight.
