More Graphic Creativity...

After checking out some of the awesome fictional logo's others have created, I decided to give it a try for myself...

While this is just a wild guess at the name/theme (A bit similiar to the "Redline" logo; I definetely think they had the right idea), I think it certainly sounds realistic enough, and I could see such a logo and name at Cedar Point... Just be warned, Webshots really butchers the photo quality (Smoothness, etc)

I created one more that I didn't put nearly as much time into, but I think the concept behind it works well...

I've seen and been impressed with what a few of you have come up with, but I just know that there are more graphic people on these boards, and I'd really like to see what else everyone can come up with....

nice logos man :)
Very creative, Jon! I know I would be content if either of these ended up being "the one ;)" Until then, the RPM logo stays as my Windows wallpaper...very nice!

My next project in my Graphic Design class is to create a fictional logo....anyone guess what I'm doing :)?

Awesome graphics, looks like somehting CP would make.
Hey Car-uh-

I heard you're working on the logo for rollercoaster enthusiasts' newest club that formed recently. Any truth behind this? ;)

Your first one says 'mega coaster'. It's going to be atleast a giga. If not a tera.

Yeah! How could you screw the name up already? ;) Just kidding.

Nice, I hope CP comes up with something nice. I personally love how they made the WT logo.

Great logos! The first one is cool in that RPM has a double meaning....Revolutions per minute, and Rocket Powered Mega. Very Nice!

The whole hyper-mega/giga thing is a marketing thing, it's not a fixed standard, even though enthusiasts will probably denote them as such as they get taller.

I love that RPM idea.
Yeah, I too like the double meaning - kind of like AIR and "aerial inverting ride" or whatever.

Yeah, it says "Rocket Powered Mega-coaster" (I coined that! ;) ) because Rocket Powered Giga-Coaster doesn't fit...

Uh, Kara- close on the air acronym... You get points for trying. ;)

By the way, Florida Jon, I have to give you big props, I don't have the talent nor the patience to come up with cool stuff.

Maybe CP should announce the name and let you guys come up with a logo. I think some of you have more talent in a little finger than I have in my whole body. Great logos, Jon.
*wonders why people make logos when we dont even know the name?*

I mean they look cool, but I think its kind of overkill.

Maybe they like doing something constructive with their time...

Yep, it's the result of a little extra time thanks to a saturday sick at home... And hey, it's fun to be creative. :)

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone... If they were to go with a double-meaning-acronymn such as RPM, I'm afraid to imagine what the pissed-off enthusiasts will come up with as a new nickname for what RPM stands for ;) ... Now those guys are creative... You've heard em, Delay-ja Vu, Draggin' Iron, etc :)

I like the RPM name and your logo was effective. It'll be interesting to see if anyone is even close with their name predictions.

ha . You are wrong. Mega/giga/tera(400) feet are standard prefixes. They all come from the metric system.

Good call Jake! So a Mega coaster is a Million feet, a Giga coaster is a Billion feet tall and a Tera coaster would be a trillion feet tall!! Or wait, is that metric?

A BILLION METERS!!!

I can't wait for the EXA coasters!!!

Who will get the first "google-coaster"? And will you have to have airtanks?
