More building permits filed

There was another article in the Sandusky Register today, this one regarding building permits. On Thursday, Cedar Point filed plans for the structure of the ride's hydraulic building, electrical building, ride station and foundation.

Estimated costs include:

Hydraulic building - $200,000
Electrical building - $40,000
Ride station - $450,000
Foundation - $1 million

What if there was also a #17 in 2003?

Very intersting indeed. if they say all that stuff they might as well announce it now
That nice, well thats one part of the ride we know about. just gotta find out what the rest of it costs :)

I see an announcment coming really soon. I just dont see a point of holding out anymore.

I guess it's safe to say that $1 Million is for ALL the foundations. My only question is why the hydraulic building is so expensive? I remeber there was an issue about exactly what type of 'waterproofing' is required, but 200 g's still seems like quite a bit.

Does anyone know how much Wicked Twister's hydraulic building cost? It must be close to the price tag for the "Mystery Attraction."

The best thing about Six Flags "Worlds of Adventure" is that Cedar Point is nearby!

Wicked Twister doesn't have a hydraulic building. It uses LIM's.

yeah bryan is right. The Linear induction Motors on WT are powered by electricity, and a lot of it. Or at least this is what CP says.
Does anyone know how much Xcelerators hydraulic building costed?
i'm going to check with my company tomorrow morning.... name of the company is SA Comunale. we do fire protection system (them lil sprinklers up in the ceilings...) about a month or two ago we did some work for cedar point but i didn't think anything of it because i didn't know about a new coaster...i believe it was our Fremont office that did the work (i'm at the HQ in akron...) PLUS... obviously we've got drawings for whatever we did at cedar point, i'll see if i can hunt those down and take a peek at them and see what i can find. i won't be able to make a copy of it and scan it and post it....i sorta want to keep my job. i'll see what i can find out though.

This is a stupied topic someone close it!

I find it funny how you can't even spell stupid. We're barely in the off season and already we've got crap like this. I fear the future...

Back on topic, I can't imagine Xcelerator's hydraulic building to have COST much more than 100,000 excluding the gift shop. It's not much more than a large pit with reinforcred concrete walls and a large block to anchor the cable system to. The building for Wicked Twister didn't cost that much, it's what inside it that did. It's quite an amazing (and expensive) system Intamin uses to transfer the power from the AC lines to the LIM's.

Drew, could you at least leave your computer for a few minutes a day, and stop being so annoying? Some people actually like to read this board to find out about the new coaster, but when you have to weed through lines and lines of useless posts, you give up after a while.

Anyway, my question was not about the hydraulic building, but on the station. 450,000 seems like a lot. Could this be a good hint to two stations? Does anyone know how much Millie's stations cost.

Stop!! Please Some people actually like to read this board to find out about the new coaster, but when you have to weed through lines and lines of useless posts, you give up after a while. DONT YOU???

But this IS a meaningful post. It gives us even more of an idea of how much it will cost.
