Monday was on the hot side, and I would say crowd levels were "medium" at the most. Rode the GK first thing with early entry, and rode again later with maybe a 20 minute wait. Walked by the MF to see a 45 minute wait, longest wait for the rest was maybe 30 minutes, most were walk ons. TTD was half an hour when I tried the test seat. Magnum was a walk on. Went to Soak City and dipped my toe in the closest lazy river when the life guard started closing the park due to an ugly cloud.....full of lightning! This was about 3 PM so we packed it in and stayed at Castaway Bay for the rest of the day.
Tuesday was windy and cool, didn't see the TTD go up until after noon. Did Dino's Live, waits all over less than half an hour. Rode GW twice more, 20 minutes tops.
Overall a lovely "test" trip for the kids, I have one rider, and one non-rider, so with staying at Castaway I have to gauge whether or not to become season pass holders for 2014. We live 7 hours away driving straight, so factor in stops it is every bit of 9 hours.
Of course we can stay cheaper, and may come down in August to a hotel with just a pool.......but in the effort for fairness for my non-rider, a waterpark hotel does hit the spot for him.
