MM Day 6 - 9/15/00
Kudos to CP for such a wonderful event as Millennium Mania..I was one of those a little cheesed at first that my SP wasn't valid for the event but after expereincing what I did Friday for MM, well it was well worth the extra 19 bones that people had to pay....
Along with meeting up with some of my favorite GTTPointers such as Tyler, Hooper (Matt), Brandon, Raptor Jo, and others I had even more of a blast! WE missed ya DAN!!
Millennium Force...Spent most of my day here riding lap after lap with Tyler..We had our own little lap war going on which I think he passed me on due to me winning something and having to go to the front of the park to collect my stylish Cedar Point Fleece Snoopy Sweater!! Damn Luck..:)
Anyways I managed to get in 26 laps on Force when it was all said and done...probably could have done more bet spent all day waiting for my damn HotDog at Gullivers Grill by Magnum...Right Tyler?? I think hes still waiting for his food..haha..Short of it was they were just cooking dogs as people asked for them..ridiculous..we done laps on Magnum while we waited!! I thought Force was running excellent and felt the balckouts learing a few times after so many consecutive laps.. I really expereinced the airtime more than ever for somereason Friday..Didn't matter where I sat it was there..some places more prominent than others!! Also the ride ops..especially Corey was cool as they have ever been..Not only could you pick your car but the laps bars weren't pushed into the back of your stomach and the belts were just right!! Really heightened the expereince!! The last ride was the most memorable and i think Tyler can vouch for this...There was a guy ralphing the whole way down the exit ramp and the crowd cheering him on..simply comical and hallarious!! Clean up in exit ramp Force!!
Magnum was very rough tonight and I hope they address the axel problem very soon!! Although the trims were turned off at the pretzel so that was a bonus..Schwinggggg....Getting back to the axel..well it was very shaky and painful today..not that I'm complaining CP but please take a look at the cars in the offseason!! Magnum has always been the crown jewel of CP IMHO and the condition of the cars is just getting a bit serious now...Finally felt the wobble I've been reading about from some of the regulars here!! Only took like 10 laps on Magnum because if this!! Not too often I can say the bruises were from Magnum and not Mean Streak!!
Raptor...JO you made it very fun to listen to the Ride Ops again with your enthusasism!! I loved your spirit and your Joke about owning your own Raptor too with 12 million bucks saved at a dollar a day...If anyone else caught it I'm sure they chukled here...Jo you finally found your true calling in life...Working on raptor...Plus you looked good working it..Like a fish in water!! The ride itself was really a blast at night too...For some reason I really feel it more with the fall air and the dark skies..The sensation of Raptor at night is the best in the park IMHO!! We got like 10 rides on that as well...and Hooper are you still sitting on the ride..Did you ever get off or is your shirt still pulled over your head?? We thought you balcked out and forgot to get off all those laps..LOL..Your a trip Matt!!
Mantis..Not the biggest Mantis fan on the site but with no lines we did a few laps without getting off in the front of the car..Theres no seat like the front..especially going into the 1st invert and getting that floating sensation and weightlessness!! Did we yell loud enough ride ops..Tyler and I screamed liked Banshees!! LOL Fun time tonite none the less!!

Over all Millennium Mania was a blast and one of the best days EVER I had at the Point...Can't wait for Halloweekends escpecially with my fetish for Halloween too and ALL the props were pretty much in place for its opening this weekend..DID ANYONE catch all the Halloweekends signs up on the causeway on the way to the toll boths..Very Clever and Very funny CP..
Oh and BTW I rode a few laps on Force for you Servo..You were there in spirit with us!!

Millennium Mania day 6 was my fourth Millennium Mania event. Very spectacular, as all the others have been.
Near the end of the night, on what was about the sixth last Raptor train of the night, the crew had a little trouble resetting the dispatch. After the second or third try, the team leader came on to the entrance platform to coordinate the effort. She wanted her crew to stop pressing the buttons, so she said “Everyone, put your hands up”, and she put her hands up in the air. Those of us waiting on the train in the transfer track couldn’t help but notice this, and everyone on the train put their hands up. I don’t think the crew noticed, and I’m not sure too many riders got the joke. Still, it was funny to see everyone put their hands up to go the last 50’ in to the station, and even more amusing if you understand the subtleties.
Nicely done, Raptor crew, and thanks for the rerides!

AH yes Dave I happened to be on controls that moment and you can blame the "op" from Camp Snoopy on dispatch for the probs resetting. I didnt notice you guys putting up your hands but I wish I had cause I would have needed a laugh @ that moment I was pretty mad!
I admire all the rerides you did, I could only handle 15 straight rerides on Thursday before I thought I was going to get sick and had to get off. Never thought I'd see the day Raptor would make me feel sick!!
