MM 9/14/01 - Ride of my life on Milly!

I first want to say how touched I was with the 7pm moment of Silence CP observed for the fallen victims in NY and DC. Very Classy and very emotional! I witnesed many people in line for MF lighting lighters and quitely saying prayers as I stood with Tony, Matt (skykicker) and his GF. Thats why I love the CP public so much..very close knit family.

Now for that ride of my life..Dan and I had the 2nd train out for the event and we had it all to ourselves. Yep we were the only 2 aboard and we were in the Front Car. All I have to say is WOWOWOWOWOWOW! With the Cool breezes from the bay and the wind and the lack of weight in the car it was a very exciting and yet disturbing experience! There were many feeling that we were going to fall right out of the car on the embanked turns and 2 specific feelings that we were not going to make the 2nd and 3rd hills respectively! I'm not kidding folks we literally Crawled over at a snails pace. ( I was actually kind of hoping for a rollback but figured we tick of a few people waiting for a fun day aboard MF..hehe). Really was a quite different ride than what were all accustomed too. I was so used to the sheer speed and the feeling of being pushed with so much force over the turns and ride itself. We actually experienced what most won't ever get too and that was pretty cool.

As for the rest of the night we spent right there on MF..I did break for one Maggy ride during a brief outage for MF but other than that it was MF all night baby! Met some real cool GTTpointers such as Robodud (was that it?), and his GF Kicks the sky, as well as loriu and her gang. Hung out and saw the usual Sparty gang of Dan, Hooper, Scott S, Matt (skykicker), and Tony! Where were you Jo damnit! All great friends and great times! As far as ride counts for the night..well...who really cares..It was a lot of them ...Who counts anyways?

I was there... but know one knows what I look like so, I just left it at that. What a nice, cool day. Got 12 laps on magnum, 7 laps on raptor, 5 laps on mantis, 3 laps on Millennium force, and 4 rides on each tower of power tower.:)

Unfortunitely (or fortunitely I guess for the horse's owner) I had to ride in a show last night.
The GOCC had even asked me to "man" their tent by MF last night so I could have gone for free, but was obligated (darn it) to catch ride for this one guy. So while you guys were having fun at CP (and missin me I hope :)) I was busy jumping 3' fences in front of about 200 people.
As for your exciting ride with Mr 2000, I have that every a.m. on Raptor during the test ride,
although there are no real "hills" (except for the 2nd one ;)) the "flips" seem extrememly slow when there is only 1 rider, pretty cool isnt it?
Missed you guys, (did you wear your Talon shirt Sparty? ;)) glad you had fun!!
