I think most people have enough common sense to write a responsible letter. I also sent Cedar Point a note. While it touched lightly on the fact that re-rides were halted mid-day, it was more to let them know how rudely we were treated by Mr. Wozniak and a MF ride-op when asked why there were rows roped off. I also pointed out in my letter that the Manits crew, yes that's right, the Mantis crew, did a great job and gave kudos to Clint on Power Tower and to Cedar Point for showing support to our country with a moment of silence at 7pm.
As Tim said, I'm sure it was an isloated instance of Sixflagitis.
I NEVER said Greg couldn't write a business letter... read my post and you would have saw that I thought Greg's letter was great. I just didn't want some moron to write a piss poor letter to the park and ruin future events(or the way events are run in the future).

Dan, When I wrote my rough draft of my book and gave it to my publsher they paid me adanvace(about 500 bucks) to help me write the book(the advance money will be money from the profits of my book I get in advance). I wasn't getting paid from the park, but I was getting paid from publisher to go to the park and write. Its just like how magazine people do it... there company pays them to go to the park and write.
Jeff, I edited my book, then had several of my friends edit my book. Then when my book got to the publisher there in-house staff edited it for grammer and spelling errors. And so what I miss a comma in one of my post, aren't we all human?
CP_bound, I am gald you don't think my post are annoying. I am just as confused as you.

Second, I'm not jealous of anyone. Life is far too short for that. (That said, I don't believe anyone pays a 14-year old to write a book, especially if they looked at his writing sample first.) I love teens, that's why I coach. My girls are like my own kids and I'd sooner spend time with them than ride any coaster.
Third, I'm tired of this kid plugging his alleged book on my site. I'm tired of his continued notion that he knows what the park is doing at all times, how they should run things. I'm tired of him ripping off my trademarks (yes, it's happened before, I talked to his dad).
It's not about what people do or don't know, it's how they say it. Even then, the people who know the most talk about it the least. So when someone comes on and thinks they're a genius because they can predict it'll be crowded on a weekend in July (who could imagine?), I get fairly annoyed.
Have a nice day.

Jeff, you don't know my writing style so how in the world can you say "I don't think anyone pays a 14 year old". I sent them(and to 50 other publishers but they didn't accept it) a rough draft and I signed a contract which allows be to get a advance in turn for the rights of my book.
This is the ONLY time I put in my 2 cents about how the park is run. I do not know everything which is happening, at the park but I do read "Behind The Lines", go to the park weekly, talk to several employees, and I have many good friends in roller coaster clubs who I talk to a lot. What is wrong with me saying how crowded I think the park is/was? At least I don't get all smart and "ask the magic eight ball". By the way, most of my predictions have been very close to being right.
And I never took your trademark(yes it was close to yours and I took care of it very soon, we already discussed this and took care of it so why do you have to bring it back up? And that only happened ONCE, you make it sound like I did it many times).
Yes I put my book in my signature but I don't "plug" it. Yes I talked about it in one thread(when many people asked about it), but several other Cedar Point books were "plugged". So just because one person with a Cedar Point book is on your site they can't say they have a book, but other people can plug other books? Its not like I am trying to make money off my book, it costs a lot of money to print press releases(media kits), get copies of my book for reviewers, get posters made, postal to send copies to media sources, to hire a editor, to have someone make me a cover, etc.

You always say "don't feed the trolls," yet that's all you're doing in this thread! So Andrew's writing a book and you're not... let's get defensive over it. Too bad the internet isn't a very friendly place for Cedar Point fans...
Also, Jeff, did you happen to think that maybe, just maybe Andrew's crowd calander is just a reference for folks who don't know the park very well?

Jeff, that's all I really got out of his inital post, I didn't sense any hostility.
You're almost always pretty rational about things, but it seems as if you jumped on him for no reason. Seems to me it's just a matter of mis-interpretation.
Remember kids, don't be...errr....feed the trolls.

I voiced concerns about the boards in that e-mail, and then just about 10 minutes later you mentioned in your signature that you had "thrown a few back this evening and feeling above average." Is that the kind of responsibility you promote on YOUR site (because I'm constantly reminded that it's YOURS and that we shouldn't "come into your house and piss on the floor")? Yelling at your members while "feelling above average?" That's some good leadership if I've ever seen it!

Squishy: You know very well you had that coming in the thread you refer to. Just as it says, remarkable as it sounds, most of us have far better things to do than sit around and monitor a site all day. There is no conspiracy. If recent events haven't convinced you of that then it's time to turn off the box and step outside.
I don't treat anyone like crap (except for Andrew, because he irritates me). Some people don't seem to understand that a difference in opinion is hardly something to take personal. And with regards to that, spreading rumors about the gigainvertedstandupwoodie isn't an opinion (aimed at no one in particular) is just silly nonsense and something that I don't need here. A complete lack of common sense (will it be crowded this weekend?) is another thing I don't need. If you want that kind of thing, visit one of hundreds of other forums because I'm not having it here. You have a choice to visit this site. No one is forcing you.
It's funny how easy it is for some of you to sit behind your computers and judge my moral character. Most of you will never know the love, compassion and intense commitment to my friends, family and kids that are a part of my everyday life.
