This was my one and only trip to the Point for MM. Even with the wet weather and cooler temps, I have one thing to say the CP - THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
What an unbelievable time to be had by all! In my wildest dreams, I never though MF would be a walk on within 5 years of its debut. After 25 laps on MF, 3 on TCFKAB, 1 up and 1 down on PT and 3 on Raptor, I don't know how you can say $20 is a bad value for that much ride time even if you are a season pass holder. But I can still understand your reasoning.
I just hope that this becomes an annual event like CoasterMania. But in talking with one of the ride ops, they said that it could end up being based upon this years attendance at MM. They felt that the park was looking to get about 1000 people a day into the park. So far only one of the five days had that many people in the park (DAY 4). But I think with a bit more advertising, they could easily hit those kind of numbers. Speaking of the ride ops, I would like to say is what a difference the ride ops were. Six Flags can't hold a candle to the speed and courtesy of the CP ride ops! Great job!! It's amazing that they still have a sense of humor at the end of another great season.
To hopefully ensure that this does become an annual event, make sure for those that attended to send in your survey form.
With 25 laps on MF, the real challenge was finding new ways to experience the ride. One of the best ways I was told of was to watch either the shoreline off to the left of the first hill or the lights there at night. Keep looking at them from the time you crest the hill all the way thru the pullout. It's really wild to watch them go from horizontal to vertical and back while freefalling. Another was to look backward going down the first hill. The nice part of the whole day was the fact that I only reported one bug kill to the face but I did end up with slight case of wind burn. But it's still worth it all.
Well this wraps up another great season at the Point. Hopefully see many of you next season.
