Please, no! Those things make you feel like you've been rolled down a hill in a barrel. And the capacity sucks.

Uhhhhh... No way is Cedar Point getting that.

How about starting a topic for EVERY ride at Geauga Lake, it's past the point of being annoying, I'd rather look at spam.

Worst idea EVER!

Why would CP want anything to do with Head Spin.

  1. Very Jerky
  2. Old Design
  3. Bad Capacity

Sorry to anyone who likes this ride.

Hey, they can squeeze it in the point somehow.... how about in between space spiral and DT, and paint it pink.

I think they should get it, it doesn't take up much room, it would make the 18th coaster, and it would make a good addition.

I feel that the park as far as roller coasters go is all set for the time being. Maybe it's because I really, really love Maverick and TTD for that matter, but I can't see anything CP desperately needs right now other than some family attractions.

Any ride that is fun for all ages and has a height limit of 48" or less is needed at the park.

I think CP should continue its ban on Vekoma coasters (with the exception of Woodstock Express of course). They're so uncomfortable.

And if they build any small footprint coaster, it should be one of those fancy new Intamin ball coasters! They look like a lot of fun! But they do have absolutely abysmal capacity... even worse than a boomerang.

Cedar Point is not Six Flags, they don't just throw random crap coasters into the park just to have more rides.

I liked Mind Eraser/Head Spin. Don't think it would fit in at Cedar Point, but maybe they could sell it to Camden Park. OK, just wishful thinking.

The only coaster left that I think CP should get would be a dive coaster. Something like Griffon but longer with more elements and some good themeing. Then they would be set.

I know its wishfull thinking but thats the only one that they dont have that looks cool. (Besides a good Eltoro type woodie.)

The next coaster wont happen anytime soon though.

Let's Get Weird.

Capacity isn't a big deal, since I don't think they really worry about that much anymore. Especially with attendance down.

Canada's Wonderland, which gets more guests than Cedar Point has a boomerang, and KI has an inverted boomerang.

An inexpensive, yet extremely fun (yes, I really love that ride, but partly because I used to work there) ride like a boomerang would do really well at CP.

Plus, it can be staffed with only 3-4 people based on the way CP staffs other rides (It has been run with as little as 2, even under Cedar Fair).

Low operating (staffing) costs. High enjoyment level from guests. I think it would be a fairly good move!

I like the idea, but not as much as Cedar Point getting Dominator, which I doubt would happen.

And on a somewhat related topic, I think beaver Land Mine Ride could possibly fit in nicely where Peanut's Playground is currently located.

Right, cause CP needs another kiddy coaster. Ya know, they're lining up outside the gate to ride 'em.

A kiddy coaster wouldn't be a bad idea up at the front of the park if they were every to overhaul Kiddy Kingdom. I'd rather see a kids coaster than a Boomerang.

Two isn't enough? Most parks are lucky to have one.

And come on, Woodstock Express is a lot of fun! The little bell makes the ride too!

Sam: You are really stuck on this attendance thing. Give it up already you blame everything on attendance. With next years pass system I am sure CP will be fine along with all the other parks.

I dont think that a used coaster would look or fit in at CP these days. Maybe the kiddie coaster but it would have to go in the front of the park.

2005-2007 Cedar Point
2007-2008 Dueling Dragons TL
2008- present Sea World Orlando Shamu Lead Area 2

Considering that attendance seems to keep going down, why not mention it?

Canada's Wonderland, as far as I know, is the most visited seasonal amusement park in North America, and they have a boomerang. I think Head Spin would work at the point, and even lead to super long lines.

And it seems as though CP is almost "giving away the gate" (tm) with these $140 passes.

With there being other entertainment alternatives to amusement parks, and with the decline in quality that is evident at Cedar Point, plus the poor economy in Cedar Point's major markets, I don't think Cedar Point will be "fine" next year. Why else would they discount so much?

Cedar Point may get a small attendance boost with the closure of Geauga Lake, but I doubt that it would be more than a couple hundred thousand visits.

Cedar Point will not get a used coaster. Especialy Head Spin. Cedar Point doesn't have any used coasters operating coasters at CP and probably won't ever.(Atleast for a very long time.)

Who wants to wait in long lines anyways?
