It wasn't the lighning they had, because I had ridden it the following day. Besides, they're all grounded anyway.

Ah I'm glad to hear that it will be up soon, I'm really hoping that it will be working on the 28th and 29th. I'm flying from South Florida and would be completely bummed out if MF was closed on my first visit to the Point. Let's just hope TTD keeps the schedule I've been seeing on the webcams. :)
Well ladies and gents i just happened to be looking on the fun cam and low and behold a MF train shows up clicking up the lift :) Good thing too... im going tomorrow. Don't scare me like that again you guys.

I was told by am empolyee that it was hit by lighting during the storms they had there.
It wouldn't matter. I've been at the park before when it was struck and ridden it later that day. As said above, they're well-grounded.
Good news guys, I just went on CedarPoint.com and at the bottom of the screen is said " MillenniumForce is open!!". Now maybe I can actually ride it tommorrow. ;)
Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27
Top 5--- 1. Maverick- 2. Millennium 3. Magnum 4. TTD 5. Gemini
Cavs- 2007 Eastern Conference Champions!.-
Yay! I just hope it doesn't break down again between now and Wednesday. Of course, when MF is running it looks like TTD is down! I'm on a dialup connection somewhere else so I can't really tell.
YEEEEEHAAAAA!!! Thanks for the "heads up". I was in Sandusky most of Thursday and saw it running and it drove me crazy not to ride, but I knew I'd be in the park Sunday. My kids and I were super bummed to hear MF was down again. Now I pray Millie doesn't break down tomorrow. ENJOY!
After reading this topic I see that some of you will be there the same days that I will be (starlight on 27 and all day the 28). So maybe we could run in to each other.
As for MF I didn't believe that it was running until I saw a train go up the lift on the web cam. I can't believe that it is up and running all ready.
RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...
It sure does seem like a lot of us will be there on the 27th and 28th. Thats when I plan on going. Hope no other problems come up on this or other rides.
Glad to hear it's up and running again!

It really has had a lot of problems this year. I mean, last Tuesday we got in line at around 5:30 and ut was running. Then it didn't run for awhile. Then an empty yellow train went by, than an empty blue, then a yellow with people. This was all after they took the red train off. Then, right after this, they took the yellow train off and sent a bunch of empty trains out again. Then they finally got all 3 back in.
We ended up waiting over 2 hours, but did manage to catch a short line for the front seat, so that worked out well. But we did have this guy with a headset doing this all out crazy dances the whole way through the line. He had red hair and glasses and was there alone. He was off in his own little world doing some of the most rediculous dances and singing...he did get a lot of clapping, though.
This year:
Maverick: 5
MF: 4
TTD: 2
Skyhawk: 5
The downtime you discussed sounds like a typical transfer situation. That happens several times a season no matter what. It can be for wheel replacement, or just for standard maintnence.
As far as the other issues MF has had this season... They are definitley new for the ride... But hey... Every ride has extended downtime at some point...

Is MF open yet? I'm heading out soon.

I have been seeing trains go over the hill from 9:30 on. So yes, it is running again to day.
RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...
Great! I'll be there for Joe Cool tomorrow. I am SO relieved. A day at the Point without Millie is sad, sad, sad.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. I went on Memorial (a monday ironically). It had been down the week before, and then came back up on Friday night or Saturday. I was all excited, and I was on the computer right before we left at 4pm Sunday and the ride had just broken down and it was down for our trip :(. I really hope you guys (and gals if applicable) have better luck than I did, but just remember it could still break down again.
