...just as Maggie beats out MF for many people. It's all about people's preferenes. MF is a tall traditional coaster with a bit of floater airtime and a lot of speed. Maggie is a hyper with some good speed and a whole lot of ejector air. Dragster will be an insane, launched ride thats super fast and super tall. It will have some nice laterals on the twists as well as a euphoric pop of airtime at the top and one hell of a drop.

For some this will probably be their favorite. For others it won't be. You can't please everyone...especially if that everyone includes enthusiasts.

So what if I'm going to go to Purdue next year...:)

As much as I do not consider it to be an actual coaster, Superman: The Escape is already a 400 foot coaster. Therefore, I do not see how you say it is too early for a 400 foot coaster.

But to get back to the subject, Project 2003 (which I refuse to call Dragster because it is a retarded name) will have the same hype that Millenium Force had. According to one person who posted about 2 months back said that mayhem will occur on Opening Day, and I agree.

How can you guys make a prediction if the ride HAS NOT been announced?
Hey Phillip, my guess would be that it wouldn't make much sense to predict something that has already been announced. If it's been announced, then why predict? You predict something that isn't known. When it gets announced, it's known, therefore doesn't need to be predicted. Interesting question. Kinda hurts my head readin it. Think before you speak

Peace I'm Out

First the Toledo Blade is accused of reporting stories after they happen (which without psychics is the only I can imagine them reporting stories), and now people are expected to make a prediction after it already has happened (which would make it reporting, not predicting).

I agree with Andy, think before you speak...

Alright, let's all think about this. Maybe it's just me, but I don't want a 400 ft. roller coaster right now. Doesn't anyone else see what this means? We can't go much further. Sure, people were saying that back when the Gemini debuted, but serioulsy, our limits are coming way too soon. Sure we can always think of new roller coaster types, but the human body does have limits, believe it or not. I'm not saying we'll get brain damage or anything, but if we have a 400 ft. coaster, then at this rate, in 1 1/2 years, we'll have a 500 ft. roller coaster. Then, the next year a 600 ft. roller coaster, and so on. I know Cedar Point feels like they have to pull out all the stops, but come on now. Is MM and SF:WofA really getting to them? I love CP, but I thought they had more class and patience than this... if it is over 400 ft. I predict it won't be much taller than MM if anything. Look at the left tower on the side, it's already starting to twist at 200 ft. You expect there to be another 200 ft. of going straight up sideways? C'mon now.
interesting point it just makes ya wonder what the real height limit is going to be?

"...And Yes I Still Think That That Man Is A Schmuck."

The U.S. has said that no building can be built more than I think 2,000 ft. because of planes. I could be wrong, but it that is right, then that's the ultimate limit, but I don't think it'd be possible. But if a person can slide down the side of the WTC while it's on fire... then anything's possible.

Scottie, you are kidding me right. Tell me that you did not just say that. I am at a lack of words right now. Stupidity doesn't even begin to explain you. If you look at some of the posts before you, you'll see what I told someone else. Think before you speak! Is it that hard of a concept. The fact that you would even think that is disturbing. Then to actually type it, think it was a good idea, and then hit the reply button is beyond idiotic. Start using your head. It's a great rule to live by. Think before you speak. Man, how hard is it.

Peace I'm Out

Alright, I deserved that, but it's true. It maybe stupid in your eyes (and everyone else's), but oh well. A post is a post. You can simply choose to ignore it if you wish. Or you can just bash me some more so we all don't die of bordem including myself. Thanks for the pep talk... Wait a minute. Damnit!

Not that I want this thread to deviate into a useless discussion about common sense or humanity, but I for one 100% agree with Andy. He [Andy] posted what I couldn't... I couldn't reply after that post... I had to walk away from the computer and wonder why someone would even think something like that, let alone post it for all to see.

Falling 110 stories while on a roller coaster is one thing.... having to decide whether to burn to death, crumble under a falling building, or jumping out the side... what the heck are you thinking???

While I have nothing to do with the admin/moderation of this site/board, I personally apologize to those that had to read that post... completely heartless to those that suffered on 9/11.

17 straight years of real thrills and counting...

What!?! You guys are friggin' idiots. You don't even understand what I was talking about. The guy slid down the side of the building and lived. Geez. If you say 9/11 or anything, people automatically think that you're making fun of it. And they have to say something just because they don't want to be looked at as being uncompasionate when really all their doing is being too compasionate. All I was saying is that if something as unbelievable as the fact that he slid down a building in order to survie is possible, then anything is possible. You're sick just for thinking the worst.

I don't know what news station you are watching but no one can survive falling from a huge building. I pity someone who has a mind to talk like that.

Superman: Ride Of Steel-
almost as good as Millennium Force
Yea, Ok...I dont know where you heard that, that is certainly not true....Maybe you just dont KNOW how horrific it was, you make it sound like its so easy. If people could just slide down a building then we wouldnt have people jumping to their deaths that day. This is real life, NOT SPIDERMAN.

If you were to excperience such a horrific event first hand, maybe you wouldnt be making up this BS. I certainly didnt see anybody slide down the side of the building.

And dont call people "friggin Idiots"

And why shouldn't I call someone a friggin' idiot? It was on Fox News last year, and I certainly do believe that. My aunt and uncle live in NYC and they've told me plenty about it all. I visited Ground Zero this past May, and yes it is horrific. Just because you can't believe something doesn't mean it's not true.

ONCE AGAIN, they DIDN'T FALL, they rode the side of it down. If you don't believe me, fine. But before you try to be all pius, use your own advice. Think before you speak.

dude.. trust me.. it is an urban legend. I read an interesting article reguarding all sorts of trivia about September 11th. That one was simply made up. It was a great article though. There was some sort of poem or something that talked about 2 birds hitting 2 giant structures. I believe that one was also proven false though.

I don't understand how someone can assume that because CP may be building a 400+ coaster that a higher one will come within a couple of years.

How many Giga coasters have been built since MF opened in 2000? I would think we'd see more giga coasters before we see coasters go higher than 400 ft any time soon.
