Millennium Force Lift Hill Button

Hi All, I have always known that every 24 hours, the button at the end of the MF lift hill has to be pushed for the ride to operate. My question is, can the trains be moved from the switch track to the main track and can the catch car be moved manually without pushing the button 24 hours later?
