If it was my call (which it isn't! LOL), I would probably concentrate on letting resort guests in early through the Resort Gate (next to Magnum), maybe shuttling those persons who stay at the Radisson and Breakers Express and want to be there early, in on the CP shuttle to the back of the park. I would think this would make for less confusion and more security since only one gate would be operating for early entry. As well, since it seems primarily resort guests already gather at that gate since it is the closest to where they are staying, letting them in through there would save Admissions employees time explaining to every other non-resort guest at the gate (for example, everyone up at Front) why we can't let them, too, in early. Of course, how good this would work would depend on how many guests want to take advantage of their extra half-hour... Resort is a rather small gate (compared to Front!!!) and this could very well cause an increased amount of entrance traffic if early entrance was only at one location. I think it would also be helpful if resort guests were given some sort of business-card-like ticket with their date of stay on it when they checked in that they could turn in at the gate along with their regular ticket to be let in early. The color of the cards could be randomly changed for each day of the week as a security feature. Having counted these, members of management would know the number of resort guests taking advantage of this each day and could plan for the future. There are many pros and cons; it will be interesting to see what the final procedure will be.
