Millenium Island?

Hmmm...I wonder if some areas are 3 to 4 feet, but then it gets deeper. Anyone know the actual depth of the lagoon around Millenium Island?

The lagoons are very shallow -- the paddlewheel boats don't displace a lot of water. The rowboats originally used in the lagoons didn't sit low in the water either.

I would imagine that the lagoons would be a bit deeper. I'm not 100% certain, but I would assume you'd need more than 3 or 4 feet to opperate the paddlewheel boats.

They actually arent much deeper if any. Also the boats arent actually paddlewheel boats, but designed to appear as if they were. They are powered by another type of drive. The "real" paddleboats have been gone for years.

I don't think I even want to go down into the lagoons even if it was in a tunnel. And I certainly wouldn't want to look out at all the mutant fish in there either. Maybe if they actually manage to get the water looking nice that would be a good idea.

Lets not forget the fact that the water isn't even deep enough to run a tunnel under the water adn still allow the boats to clear.

I'm sure some of the old timers around here will remember this. Anyone know what the island was used for long ago? That would still be an issue.

You don't have to be an old-timer to know what it was used for. The old power plant used to be on the island, athough I don't think that would be an issue. After all, MF uses the island, why couldn't another ride/coaster use it? Right now they need to clear out the junkyard and scrap the ancient stuff back there. I still don't know why they have to old Frontier Lift cars back there.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

It was also the trash dump for years. Walking out there can be dangerous. hehe

Yeah, who knows what various parts of an old ride you may trip on. Heck, they probably have stuff from old coasters back there.
