Midway Market

Cream of Broccholi soup, roast beef, burgers, blah blah freakin' blah. Don't you know the whole point of eating at Midway Market is dessert?

I asked if JCC still got a discount on my trip in June (early June), and I got a discount..

I don't recall the burgers and dogs going away at dinnertime, but I DO recall extra items such as the roast beef and fish. Menu items change as well. I love the vegetarian lasagna, but it's not always available. Don't think I've ever been when they did not have the fried chicken.

The deserts are worth it by themselves, and the mixed berry pie is to die for.

Dinner starts at 3:00. If you go in around 2:45 you could pay the lunch prices and get some of the dinner items. BTW, my family and I were up at the park one day 2 years ago and the Market was trying something new. It was open only for dessert at night. If memory serves it was $5.95 for all the dessert you can eat. They had a chef there preparing different desserts. My wife had him make bananas foster for her. They used real brandy and banana liqueur. Unfortunately, it was a trial thing and I haven't seen it since.

This is the time of the year you want to avoid Midway Market at ALL costs. Late season is usually staffed by volunteer workers doing service for their group charities. Last year one of the volunteer cooks made mac and cheese out of sharp chedder used for nachos and it was horrible. The overall quality of everything is bad this time of year because of untrainned volunteers.
