Midway is flooded!

I see those every summer here in Texas. Back in May we got 13 inches of rain in 14 hours. Everything was flooded.

New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!

My house is about 5 minutes from CP, and I was out side and the sky turned like black! It was pouring and it started to hail. For once, I was glad not to be at Cedar Point!

Lara Croft - The Ultimate Tomb Raider!

"Wind it up!!"

Hmmm...sounds like the July 4th storm we had here in NE Indiana a few years ago, only less severe and quite a bit quicker. That storm rolled in fairly fast, but it definately wasn't in a hurry to leave.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Without seeing it, but knowing the conditions, I'm thinking it was probably an arcus cloud (either a shelf cloud or a roll cloud).

thanks Jeff for that video.... I love watching that kind of stuff...

Interesting enough, this is exactly how the storms rolling in last night looked here in Cincy too... Makes you wonder if this wall cloud stetched the whole storm front. Only major difference is here the clouds were a deep, burning red. The clouds had the exact same formation to watch. It was quite a sight; We saw a few people watching and recording it in a parking lot...

Anybody with the midway photos?

Oh, you science people. ;)

Wierd lol, I live in houston, TX and we just hat a crap load of rain come our way yesterday, was flooding left and right ;).

That reminds me of a time when I was around 11 years old (in the 1970's) when I was at Cedar Point a thunderstorm hit and the Causeway flooded. It was kind of scary.

Trent

I think you guys are making a big deal out of nothing. It thunderstorms all of the time in the summer. So, there was a severe thunderstorm. We suppose have strong to severe thunderstorms tommorarow (Wednesday 6/21/06) as well. Yes, Cedar Point was floded for a little bit, but nothing happened.

This is not unusual. There is at least one good storm that overtaxes the drainage system and pelts everyone with hailstones every year.

Dang! That is one impressive cloud wall. Only other time I've seen anything close to that was coming back from my spring break trip to New Orleans. That one spawned a few tornadoes in the Indy area.

Looks like things are setting up for a large scale severe weather event tomorrow. SPC has Srn Lower MI, Nrn OH and IN under a Moderate risk of Severe storms. Should be a decent MCS.

BTW Jeff, that is a roll cloud, not a wall cloud in your video. Excellent video quality. Freaking awesome in fact. *** Edited 6/20/2006 11:31:49 PM UTC by bholcomb***

yeah expect the thinderstorm watch to come today between maybe the hours of 2-4pm, that is only the watch though. Warnings will come later I think, I'm almost sure though that we will get a watch later today.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it be a Tornado Watch, actually.
