So we didn't get to go to MA as I didn't want to pay for a whole day for only a couple of hours. My daughter never has been to a big park. But that's ok, I'd like CP to be her first park; hopefully this year if the amusement park gods are smiling. *** Edited 7/7/2004 10:15:53 AM UTC by jose_gringo***

Oh thanks a bunch for the pic Froshy. I always thought it slanted out to the right because my dad used to know the man who used to own the park before it was taken over by Cedar Fair.
Mr. Roger Jourden, I presume. I've seen him once, and I've talked to his daughter (Camille Jourden-Mark, now General Manager) about the park before. It's quite a nice family.
And (I believe) Jourden still owns a bit of land at the corner of Riley Thompson and Whitehall Roads that was originally planned to be a convenience store. I noticed today it was for sale.

You seem to know much about this Northern Muskegon County family. Make sure you don't cross a line and invade their privacy. That just wouldn't be nice.

Shivering Timbers was great. I rate it #4 in my list after TTD, WT, and MF. The ride was rough but the padded seats still made it enjoyible unlike Mean Streak. The airtime and the lateral force on the turnaround were the best parts of the ride. Mad Mouse was fun small coaster the tight turns were cool. Corkscrew was way to short. All this time I thought CP's Corkscrew was short and this one was tiny. Never got a chance to ride Wolverine WildCat.
The water park was nice. Mine Shaft was my favorite slide. I'm not a very big fan of water parks though.
Overall I give Michigan's Adventure 4 out of 5. Over time this park will be better.

I was there today for a lap on Timbers and the place was BUSY (Typical July Saturday). The lap on ST was the only ride I took (45 minute wait).MrScott
I was also there Saturday, we didn't get there till like 6 and my fiancee didn't feel like waiting in any lines so we played some arcade games, putt-putt and had something to eat, took a spin on the Timberline railway and that was about it. Its not bad having a season pass and parking sticker, I just wish some people would know when their body shape is not inducive to wearing a bikini.

I saw one of the most disgusing human beings I have ever seen in my life in the waterpark--2 years ago. I have not returned to that part of the park ever since.

We also got a funnel cake, seems to be a habit of ours to get a funnel cake just before leaving.
I don't blame you, some people have no sense that others may not want to see their expansive girth. (especially in a bikini, if the middle is bigger than the top, stick to a one piece)
We went to the water park a few weeks ago with some friends, and my only complaint is that they should have at least one wave pool for people without tubes, it was annoying to have people running over your head in the wave pool because they had tubes and no control over where they went.
