Living in Michigan my whole life, yet have never been there so I'm clueless. Thinking of a August trip just me, my boyfriend and my daughter.
Now my daughter just turned 3, today actually. She's just over 36 inches so i know that leaves her some room for bigger rides. Just wondering if the park would be well traveled with a toddler. Personally I'm sure she'll be more interested in the water area, so i guess what i'm really asking is just how kid/parent friendly is the park.
Normally I'd never ask questions like this, but this is our first big trip, and it's to somewhere unknown to me.
Also if anyone knows any good things to see on that side of the state feel free to drop some suggestions. The beach is a no-brainer, and I'm also interested in the sand dunes.
Thanks much for any input.
Other points of interest that should not be missed include PJ Hoffmaster State Park and Muskegon State Park.

Checking the ride list via the MiA website, it looks like she'll be able to ride quite a few things. I didn't see it mentioned, or maybe I didn't look hard enough, but will they do the measurement wristbands like CP does?
And hello to TDD_120mph, I noticed you as well hail from boring Lincoln Park, Mi.

1. It's included with admission
2. More slides and wavepools
3. Very compact
I guess that's my opinion though, but I think your daughter will love the park. Make sure to get her on as many of the coasters as possible, and also giving yourself some great Shivering Timbers marathoning!
Enjoy the park!

Suprisingly, I would rank Mad Mouse a very close second to Timbers, its just a fun ride all the way through. Especially if you sit in the left hand seat. After the lift hill, when you go through the first turn it feels like you'll be thrown out onto the midway.
Wolverine Wildcat is also an enjoyable ride, although I wish they would/could put a second train on that ride. Although ST is barely able to run 2 trains, usually one train is back on the blocks before they get the next one out of the station.
I just hope they add something this off-season. I would love to see a 200 ft inverted coaster.

Actually timbers01, it slants to the west (left). Here's a picture of the unused portion of land (you can see Adventure Falls and Wolverine Wildcat on the left).
