Michigans Adventure 2002

Awesome! Maybe then, you will get in free for Timbers Fest like Season Pass Holders do for Coaster-Mania!
But won't they kill Shivering Timbers with brakes like they do with so-called"Mean" Streak and so-called "Wild" Thing and High Roller? BOTH Wild Thing and High Roller are braked so badly that it eliminates ALL airtime on BOTH rides! It has NEVER been so bad before!!!:-( I fear teh WORST for my #1 woodie ridden and is VERY worried that ST will get noticably ruined!!!!!! I'm sorry but I am NOT very happy about CF's purchase turning their coasters into oversized kiddie coasters!!!
I think that CF may be learning. Mean Streak and Blue Streak have been fixed up very nicely this season.

The brakes are not added to ruin a ride, they are there for a reason. Usually the ride is either to intense or is causing damage to itself. Remember, CF owns several "big" woodies that do not have trims.

Mean Streak was NOT intense in the first ****ing place!!! Neither was High Roller or WT @ Valleyfair!!! The only reason they are NOT trimming Ghostrider is a contract with CCI not to use the block brake as a trim! Once that is over you can be sure they will ruin the ****ing ride with trim brakes!!!!
Ah yes Mean Streak wasn't intense at all. The wooden structure was handling nice and stayed in tiptop shape. Nope CP didn't slow down Mean Streak because of some slim possibility of tearing its self apart. Its because of "The Great Cedar Point Wooden Coaster Conspiracy". Preach on Mr. Floyd I think you may have uncovered something! I mean you do sound like you have more knowledge on this subject, then a company that runs these so called amusement parks.
LOL. Yes, preach on PFF. LOL

Yes, that is Cedar Fair's complete ploy. To ruin as many coasters as they can with brakes!...come on--be logical.
The hopeful word, BTW, is that Michigan's Adventure would honor Cedar Fair passes, and vice versa.

Hope so, too, I got a MIA pass on Thursday.
You people make me sick with the Cedar Fair ruining wooden coaster conspiracy. The only reason CF braked Mean Streak, is that it was a poor design to begin with!!! Shivering Timbers and Ghostrider are designed perfectly and WILL NOT have breaks added.

Why is it ok for a thread disussion about the future of MA to remain open while the ones about CEDAR POINT get closed? I think we should be alowed to discuss rumors and other possible future plans for CP without the moderators killing the threads.

It should not have to appear in the loacl paper before we can talk about it! What's it gonna hurt?

My two cents on MS: I didn't like it when it was brand spankin' new either. Anyone who knows some about Summers will know that his designs, really, were just not made with a whole lot of thrills. I remember an article from Roller Coaster! where he talked about wanting to refine a ride until there were no laterals or airtime :( With that kind of thinking behind it you sure ain't gonna get a Timbers or a Villian . Can't blame CP for that one. Besides, CCI wasn't around back then! ;-)

*-CP Irvine-* I know who's fault it is!
*The FewER, The Proud, The Po!nter Girls*
Even if they had been, CP's desired height would have been too high anyway.
Of course, this may mean that CP will get padding similar to that on MIA's woodies. Add that to the fact that Mean Streak and Blue Streak have been fixed up a bit and have been "oiled" nicely.
