Hmmm, I'll take a guess. I think it's about once every five seconds, which is 12 times a minute.

Maybe 50-60, I can't remember how fast it really did blink, I think it might have been every second or a little longer. Not sure though.
-------------
Trim brakes-a necessity???
Ok then, I'll take a shot at 70 times per minute.

I'm trying to remember, but I think it was like once every 2-3 seconds, so I'd guess 30 or 20. I'm probably wrong though.
I'll give you a hint... if you're really adventurous, find out what the FAA requires in their regulations.

(Before you form any opinions of your own, let me point out that it's midnight on a Sunday night, and I have absolutely nothing else to do.)
I just read found out a hell of a lot more about the FAA and whatnot than I ever cared to read about...
And I didn't come up with the answer.
Happy guessing, 'cause I give up. Adventurous? Yes. Wild goose hunter? Nope.

The FAA requires 20-40, if the light is red, as I presume it is.
http://www.faa.gov/arp/pdf/5345-43e.pdf Now, if it ever breaks, the flashes per second will go down to 0, but the duration will go to infinity. =)
The aircraft beacon on Millennium Force is WHITE.
The answer is 40 Nick G and Bill were the closest.

Which works out, because white requires 40-60. =)
Why dont they use red? It would match the red train.

I would guess that a strobe requires less power and doesn't need to be replaced as often.
