MF stuck

Has MF ever got stuck on the lift. Has the lift ever not started working again and had to get the people off. If so how do you get the riders off the lift?
I've seen it stopped on thelift before with people in it. But I've never seen it stopped for more than 30 seconds or so.

As far as people getting off if it's stuck for awhile, they have a little elevator-cab-type-thing that goes up the side of the lift hill. You can see two pics of it in GTTP's MF gallery:

Being a sweep, and having the fine priviledge test riding MF, 3-4 times each morning....;) MF can get "stuck" in the morning because they stop the train on purpose so as to allow for the other train to transfer on to the main track...MF can get stuck for 30 min...circuit breaker tripped...a walk down has yet to happen...but there are ways....

That's not why we stop the train floridaguy, it's called a block check.  We're testing the safety system of the ride.

When we transfer a train on we stop the trains in unload and waiting, not on the lift.

And  you guys ride once in all three of our trains, but all you are is weights.  If water dummies weren't such a pain in the butt we wouldn't need you guys.  And oh yeah, can you tell your International employees to keep their hands down on a test ride, okay?

-Natalie

That reminds me of a story earlier this when they had the crew and a supervisor on the train for a block check. The crew knew it was coming, but not the supervisor. The train came to a sudden stop at the top and the entire crew looked back down the middle of the train to see and hear the supervisor screaming her lungs out!

Somehow, that doesn't seem nice...
Sunday, we rode 4 times, stopped for about 1 minute and then continued...number two...they are just excited, and I don't tell them what to do...number three, we don't care if we're weights or not, we STILL are riding MF, before the guests...

2002..2 coasters..one park..
just a dumb rumor..

The reason Nat is so adament about keeping your hands down is because it's says it everywhere in the park, it's this year's motto, and Cedar Point is so overly paranoid about wanting people to keep they're hands down that it doesn't help if employees don't listen to these rules. Guests lead by example and by them seeing you guys with your hands up makes it look okay.

I don't think the sweepers really care if they are weights or not, they are just there to ride the ride....that is how it at SFMM

I MISS YOU CRISS!!!!!

Come to Phall PhunPhest with me!!

Or Supermania!

Chadster, yes, Millennium Force has had a "mechanical difficulty" where passengers had to be unloaded from the lift hill.  I was working on "Load 2" one night with my thumb in the air, when all of a suddon, the lights went out, and the train stopped half on the lift and half still in the load station.  I was like "what the hell?"  So, we had to walk people down the train.  Thank God it wasn't far up the lift hill.  That would not have been good.

-Teddric

PS I miss you guys!  MF Crew 2001 kicks ass!

Wow, Teddric, did anyone make a big deal about this ? I know it was not even high, but I know some people who say they wouldn't move out of their seat if they were in a postion like that
 I'd love it though, persanally!

Yes, I remember that night!  Magnum (#1 Steel Coaster :)) and Raptor both stayed open an extra hour because of that.  It was kind of a cool drizzly night and I wanted to be riding because the trims were off the entire time. :)

I think Natalie's reasoning for being so anal about the hands up thing, is, not only her attitude problem, but maybe a new awareness about employee's saftey around the rides. Maybe? :)

So how long do u think it will take them to get the train down and few people have asked me if it will rollback.  Shouldnt it beable to go around to the station?
