Word from the park is that last night, one of the trains on the Millennium Force stopped approximately 3/4 of the way up the lift hill because the catchcar became detached from the train.
They used the funicular to bring the guests back down into the station. Everything went according to plan and no one was hurt. It took them approximately one hour to get everyone down safely.
Millennium Force was closed due to weather as of this afternoon.
We were at the park today. Magnum was also closed for weather and it looked like Gemini was also not running. I assume wind, as there was a stiff breeze off the lake, but I'm not sure.

Thank God for anti-rollback devices.
Why thank god? You don't think they would build a ride without anti-rollbacks, do you?
I had to laugh when I saw this on the news tonight. Wilma Smith did her best to make "stuck on the lift" sound as dramatic as possible, in her best "plane crash" voice.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
From what I heard, Walt is correct. Dragster didn't run until about 3 or 4 pm. Iron Dragon was having lift hill problems. Wicked Twister was up and down all day.
Basically, the only big rides than ran reliably today were Raptor(Which surprised me because of how fast the winds were), Mantis (Although it had at least 3 or 4 seatbelt stoppages), Wildcat, and Blue Streak.

I actually meant it in general. "Good thing coasters have anti-rollback devices.", "It's a good thing anti-rollback devices were invented for coasters." take your pic. But you know where I'm getting at, right?. Without them, there would be alot of...........well you know.
And that's why I "thank God". *** Edited 5/13/2005 9:40:00 PM UTC by TTD 120mph***
