MF BREAKDOWN 5/12/05

I was watichin coast cam and i noticed that MF had a car stuck on the hill!! anyone know anything?

I just returned from CP. MF stopped near the top of the lift around 6:30 PM yesterday. All riders were taken down via the Evacuation Car. This process took nearly two hours. (was watching while eating at Bay Harbor.) I first assumed that the cable had broke, but saw no evidence of that from Perimeter Rd. This morning I asked a ride op what happened. She said that the catch car prematurely detached from the train. The train was still stuck there when I left at 11:30 AM today, with lots of maintanace people working on it.

Thank God for anti-rollback devices.

Well, that sounds better than the ride being closed because of a bird. That doesn't explain the first aid scooters that were at the ride during this time though.

I found out today that 6 kids from my school were on the blue train when it got stuck. It had nothing to do with the bird/goose whatever it was. It was wierd the same 6 kids were on the train that hit the flying bird, and then got in line and 10 minutes later they were on the train that got stuck on the hill.

That clears everything up then, doesn't it? The bird train got the scooters, and the train stuck on the lift got an evac. Yay! ;)

From what I heard (at another site) there was the bird incident that took it down for about 10 minutes, then one of the first trains that was sent after this had the CC problems (since that appears to be why it is down now)

That's not hard to believe. Why else would it be stuck on the lift?
