...I kind of wonder what *else* you were carrying.
Magnetometers usually work on ferrous metals, which means they won't detect aluminum pop cans. Or for that matter, high-grade stainless steel tools and knives.

Point being, A zipper is pretty small. I wouldn't be suprised if a coin could set off a detector or drink can.

Ok. The security guads did not know it was pop. They should still notice if the metal detector goes off.

Coins and such are too small to set off the metal detectors (otherwise every singe person would need to be searched with all the ridiculous things they bring). They go by metal amount. Pop cans set them off every single time.
