Met other GTTP'ers 9/6

I don't know why I started another trip report since there will be a ton more but what the hey, and sorry for any repeat stories, I'm trying to shy away from them.  First off I'd like to say that it was great meeting, Red Garter Rob, Jess, and Magnum Dan.  I saw Hooper but really didn't get a chance to talk to him.  And Joe, stay away from the rides, you keep breaking them ;).  Anyways, meeting you all really made the day much more interesting rather than reriding for hours like KicksTheSky(Kristin) and I did.

We started with a 5 ride mini-marathon on Magnum with Jess, and got the near rollback that Dan was talking about.  That was insane!  Too bad we didn't rollback.  We got off Magnum and Jess bedazzled us with her gastro-technics.  So we went to the pop machine to get a pop and who do we see??  None other than Mr. Skyward, which RGR can get into that ;).

After taking a small break we headed over to Vertigo to join Red Garter Rob, in Kristin and I's first ride.  We did the Big Bang and it rocked.  No other experience like it!!  I later did Cosmic Flip with RGR but wasn't as impressive as the first.  It's worth the ten dollars, but not the wait.

We left Rob to work more on his Vertigo marathon, and took Jess over to Raptor.  Since they weren't allowing re-rides we did that once and headed over to the fierce Blue Streak.  After riding that ONCE and only ONCE, poor Jess gave us TWO more stunning gastro-technics show.  She was done for the day. :(

After eating, Kristin and I met again with RGR to get a few rides in on Mantis.  To my surprise out of the many rides I took that day, one of them had the trims shut off on the first hill.  It was great flying through the loops and helix... until we hit the mid course brake.. very hard!  We crept through the loop and crept even slower over the turns and barely made it back to the station.

We went back to the Magnum for the two hour marathon ride with Magnum Dan.  "And this one time on Magnum..."  we had to sit in front of this guy that can only say "Whoa."  But I think Oscar's great speeches made it all worth while.

Whatever this event was officially called, it was the greatest experience at the Point that I've ever had.  I can't wait to go back next Thursday and Friday.  I think Kristin and I got at least 40 rides on Magnum.  Congrats Dan on 9/7's 2000!! And Jess, "Ride the rides that won't make you puke."

I stil can;lt get over Oscar.

Yea, it's starting to kick in now that Dramamine really IS my best friend... If anyone notices any of the bushes by Blue Streak are almost dead next year.... I would be the reason why.
