If you were there this weekend, you'll know what I mean when I say: WALKONS! Sunday and Monday were virtual walk-ons for most rides at the Point. Sunday wasn't too bad weather wise. Actually I found it quite comfortable, a bit chilly, but very bearable. Sunday included 9 rides on coasters for me, including 2 on Mantis and Raptor. Blue Streak, Corkscrew, Iron Dragon, Magnum, and a Millennium Force finally. The toughest part of the night was when we got to the Mantis platform and we had to decide what car to take because there was nobody, I mean, no body in line for the ride. We would have hit the ride more than twice at the end of the night, but my girlfriend's harness popped open and she was pretty shook up over that. Also, Sunday night I began to annoy my girlfriend by pretty much ending all our rides with I loud scream from me...especially during quiet moments of waiting to return to the loading platform. The first was on the Blue Streak when I just yelled out "Blue Streak FOREVER!!!". And that escalated to Raptor, Magnum, Mantis, and eventually the Millennium Force. (even had one in there for the Monster--got to have love for the spin-n-pukes, and the Antique Cars--took Corey by surprise)
Monday was more of the same story other than the fact it was beautiful out...mid-60s and sun shine the whole day. I arrived at the park around 12:30ish and took my traditional first ride on Raptor. That was literally the longest wait of the day at 45 minutes. The rest of the day was practical walk-ons again. The day included 16 coaster laps including 3 on Raptor and Millennium Force, 2 on Magnum, and solo laps on Blue Streak, Corkscrew, Iron Dragon, Ride Mine (hehe), Wild Cat, Mantis, Gemini, and Mean Streak. At about 8:45 that evening I met up with Corey (RolloCoast) for a lap on Magnum and 2 on Millennium before he split for Raptor Ride nite for the employees. Still even though we rode all those coasters, my girlfriend and I had enough time to hit many of the flat rides as well. Monday also continued my embarrassment of my girlfriend with multiple "insert rideForever" screams on rides again. And when she thought it was safe a few times I'd do it again...whether it be on the ride or down the exit ramp, I made sure I let people know how I felt about all the rides I was on at the park those days!
