Memorial Day is the Best day to go

I took the advice of cedarpoint.com and decided to go to the park yesterday (Memorial Day) Oh my word! It was so wonderful! There were no lines for anything except MF (the wait was only like 20 minutes) and TTD. Everything else was a walk on. We rode everthing at least twice. The weather ended up being awsome.
The only problem is I got spoiled and now I am not going to want to stand in line longer than 5 minutes for anything.

Great day togo. Last year was just as good. Got on/off MF 3 times in less then an hour TTD short line. That great forcast of a rainy cool day help alot also. "thanks wether people." Thanks for the warm sunshine day after lunch time.

Have to agree. It was great Memorial Day. I don't know how much the weather affected attendance. Short lines are great! We really only went to get our season passes taken care of for a trip to MA later this week. The great day at the park was a terrific bonus.

We had a great day also. They kept calling for rain the entire weekend, but I had a feeling they were wrong. My two 5-year-olds rode Magnum for the first time. One loved it, one didn't... oh well... they are excited to be tall enough to ride the big rides. Our youngest got to ride the kiddie rides for the first time (since he was just crawling last year) and he loved going in circles and pressing those lovely sounding buzzers. Also went Memorial Day and got to CP at around 1:00pm. There were no lines (longest wait was TTD 30min) and got 4 MF rides in one hour (about 15min wait each). After my 1st TTD ride we headed over to Corkscrew, but on the way we saw that the TTD Freeway booth was open and we decided to get one for 7-8, worked out very nice. No lines and beautiful weather, nice day!

Wow! I never realized Memorial Day was a big hit. I always tried to steer clear of holidays and such. I guess next yr. I'll have to tell my parents about this.

Is Labor Day just as good a day to go?

I was there this year on Memorial Day and it was great! I was surprised to get in 4 rides on TTD and 5 on MF. We started going Memorial Day weekend last year but it rained last year and the cable broke on TTD when we were standing in line for our first ride.

Labor Day is also an excellent time to visit because of shorter lines. That is when we used to go until last year. The only thing I don't like about Labor Day weekend is that we always like to spend 3 nights at Hotel Breakers for the convenience of coming and going from the park and they close that hotel down that weekend so the last night we could stay was Sunday night before Labor Day. We also like to visit the park the Tuesday after the holiday and they are already closed on weekdays by then. If I recall correctly, Labor Day was even less crowded than Memorial Day 3 years ago when we went.
