Memorial Day 5-29-06

My daughter and son in law decided to join my hubby and I for a fun filled day at the Po!nt :)

High Po!nts: In usual Memorial Day style the park was pretty empty. We took the morning to mid afternoon to ride everything we wanted at our leisure. Despite the horrible heat the crews were all doing a great job.
Got my daughter and son in law on MaxAir and SkyHawk for the 1 time-they loved them!!
We decided to eat at Midway Market, and the one good thing about that place is my hubby manages to get our monies worth and more!! That man can EAT! It may seem rather expensive but if we grazed in the park all day we would end up spending about the same anyway. Not to mention there was NO way any of us wanted ANY more food after eating there!
Later on, I called one of my friends and had her look at the midway webcam so we could wave at her. Of course she thought we were crazy but laughed none the less! :)

I also have to say here what a great job I think the photos are now that Kodak takes the pictures when you 1 get in the park. It is very difficult for us not to purchase the picture every visit because they really are well done. Plus having the option to crop is nice also.

We all changed in the afternoon into water friendly attire and headed to SRF. That would be the longest line of the day for us. I had completely forgotten exactly how wet you get on that ride. We got drenched, and it was the 1 time the whole day none of us were hot!

Low Po!nts: My daughter and son in law were ticked that MF was down. I had forewarned them on the way to the park it was down but they had their hopes up anyway. The only thing that bothered me about MF being down was it forced more people on to the other rides, (like Raptor) making it’s lines alittle longer than they needed to be.

With the warmer temperatures brings the seasonal on slot of people who have NO clue how to dress. Again this year must be the “show your fat, it’s sexy” year once more. As a Mom, I can not believe some of these parents allow their kids to dress the way that they do. I find it hard to believe that some of these females truly do believe they look good when their pants are too tight, and their love handles and stretch marks (aka: fat) are hanging over their pants. Blech! :( The best ones ever were the ones who had a beer gut and a big tattoo around their belly button. WTH?
Again, as a Mom I am concerned that younger girls will see this and think that fashion statement is appropriate. The bottom line is CP is a family park and I’m not so sure a family spending the day at the park with their kids want to see more skin then they need to.

I had planned on meeting a couple of my CP buds in the evening but never got to, by 5pm the rest of the group was CP’d out and wanted to leave-to me that was the biggest low Po!nt ever! Sorry about that Hooper and Johnny!! :(

All in all a great trip-everyone passed out for the drive home which is always a sure sign everyone had fun! :)

My hubby and I are returning again on Thursday for some pre-CoasterMania and Friday for CoasterMania!! Yea!!!

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

What times did you ride these? When we were at Skyhawk around noon it was down as they were working on the compressors, and at MaxAir around 3 it was closed with no signs of life.

I agree with Jo. I think the park needs to curtail the way some of the ladies dress. I remember I wanted a shirt made that said "coaster slut". The fellow made me promise NOT to wear it in the park as this was family oriented place..lol He needs to look at the way some gals dress .

...half their boobs are hanging out their tops !

I refuse to grow old !

I just threw up a little.

Sounds like you had a good time, despite the fact that we couldn't get MF up :(.

We rode MaxAir around 11am I think. It was down at 10 so we rode WT and went back and it was up. SkyHawk we didn't ride till after 4 I believe. It was down the 1st couple of times we went by during the day.

Cedar Point is always full of fat people... but despite that Cedar Point rocks!!

Parker,

You and your fat people comments are getting very old. Lose it.
