Mean Streak Fans?

Since I joined Point Buzz a couple weeks ago, I've noticed a lot of of people hatin' on Mean Streak. Not counting TTD, which I haven't been on yet, I have to say its my third favorite coaster behind MF and Magnum. Last time I was there, me and the other 8 people I was with rode it twice and loved it. So what if it's a little bumpy? It's a long and fun ride. Anybody agree with me?

I still enjoy riding it. Can't beat riding it at night when the back of the park clears out. Walk right up, get on, any seat ya want. Sometimes you will be the only one on the train. If everything was smooth as glass, what fun would that be?.

Actually if everything was as smooth as glass it would be awsome. No headaches and body pain!!

Mean Streak is a little bumpy but still fun for me.

If you lean forward and keep off the back of the seat it's a much better ride. Once I started doing that it was fine for me.

I have learned to keep in the front half of the train, every bit helps. Good old-fashioned fun.

Bumpiness is the best part of the ride. It gives you an insecure feeling that you can't find anywhere else in the park.

I love Meanstreak!!! Without the bumpiness the ride wouldn't be "mean"!!!!!

I don't know about that. I feel pretty insecure on old Blue Streak. :)

Meanstreak kick major ass. It is the coolest looking ride in the park, and usually has little to no wait.

I like riding it mainly for the insanely rough ride. I don't have a problem with my back or neck after riding it. It is not the best ride but I do like it.

I also find that if you keep your back off the seat it helps alot. So I think it rocks now.

The ride really isnt any fun, the trim brake on the first drop tames the two curves at the start of the ride so much that if your on the right side of the train it feels like you could roll out. And forget about it once you reach the mid course, its a snore form then on.

Mean Streak is a fun ride if it was smoother. But its still fun!

It is quite curious to me that those who claim to hate it, keep riding it. lol.
It's fun at night.

You know what I find funny? Its that people always say Mean Streak was fun before the trims were placed on the first drop, but even before that, the line was never more than 10 minutes after the first couple seasons. I remember reviews coming back on Mean Streak in my local paper, they said it was ok up until the mid course, then after that it was a snore. They ranked it #10 of 10 below Predator (DL) and Blue Streak (CLP).

The layout is boring!

Mean Streak is not supposed to be smooth. No wood coaster is, except the one made by Intamin...Balder I think it is. If wood coasters are going to start being made smooth, then I'll skip them. That is the fun of wood coasters. I happen to like Mean Streak and I don't usually hear complaints from the General Public, just coaster enthusiasts.

Everyone comes off the ride cringing, complaining of headaches etc. Watch riders faces when they get off the ride. Only young kids are smiling.

And to say wooden coasters are supposed to be rough is a bit of a misunderstanding I think. A bit rickety yes, but so rough it hurts?

I really enjoy Mean Streak, but yes i am dissapointed about the trims. Its like your supposed to be going down the hill fast, but your not. Anyway, I akways like to get back car on it. I always think thats the best for 2 reasons.

1. Its alot more bumpy

2. Most of the people ahead of you get all the buggies. =D
