MEALS and a community kitchen in Common Dorms?

Hey everyone!

I process in on May 13th, so I'm assuming this is too late to get a bed in Bayside (...right?). I'm looking to cut costs so I want to prepare my own meals, but I'm concerned that if I don't get Bayside I won't be able to cook because I won't have access to a kitchen. Is there a common or shared kitchen/kitchenetter with a stove, microwave, etc. in the Common Dorms?

Also, how do you as returning employees handle meals? What do you do to save money? I'm a vegetarian...so I also want to be prepared if there aren't a lot of options for me at the employee caf.

More than likely bayside will be filled but there is a chance since its only first come first serve. All I remember is the microwave in the common area of the dorm, no stove. When I was at the park I just set a limit of $5 per meal that worked well. Next two years I was in bayside and my own apartment, I just went cheap, frozen meals, ramen, hot dogs, etc.... hope that helps

There's grills in commons to cook out, it's not too hard to be a vegetarian when you grill because you can make boca burgers on the grill and grilled corn, it's sooooo good!
