Me and Millennium Force

Well Everyone....I DID IT!!!!!! I rode the MF for the first time!!! OMG!! What a Thrill and I love it.

I went to the park on Sunday May 7, 2006. My friend and I went and used our Joe Cool to Ride the Force. We lined up and we waited for about 15 mins. to ride. We got in line...Heart was pounding as I approaced the Train Station. He Loves Coasters and he was excited to ride. Me on the otherhand.....Palms were sweaty. Lips Chaped (Either from the cold or the constant Licking them when I get nervous) We get to the loading dock...My heart is beating so loud...I Felt all the blood flowing out of my face...We get in the train. The blue train. My Hands were shaking so bad that I had trouble with the seatbelt. But was buckled in and ready to go.

The first Hill ascent was Not what I expected..We went up so fast I didn't seem to have time to worry....Then we crested over the hill.........My heart jumped into my throat and all I could do was scream.....before I knew we were down we did the inverted thing.....after that I started to laugh and enjoy the ride....OMG I feel like such an moron for being scared.....

I throughly enjoyed the ride and the First Time on MF!! I rewarded myself with a Pic of me on the ride!!!

So....I wanted my freind to ride Magnum...but found it closed for a little bit...So we did Mean Streak....I should have followed the advice of all of you and bring some Advil....Is it always that Jerky???

Anyway this one time kid that was afraid of the big rides ended up riding MF, Mean Streak, And Mantis and Raptor!!!

If you care to comment....Please do. But Thank you for all your support...My next trip is TTD!!!!!

It's cool that you finally worked up the courage to ride Millennium, among everything else. In regards to Mean Streak, the answer is yes. A little tip for you though, if you don't rest your back against the seat back, you won't vibrate with the train, and will have a much better ride!

Congrads to you braden, I know it takes some big courage to work up to rideing Millennium Force. Back in 2001 my first very trip to Cp, I myself was just like what you were going throw on sunday. My heart was pounding fast, and getting nervies every step closer I got to the load station, going up the lift was almost like OMG lol. Then getting over the lift hill and enjoying the ride, all the fear just went away. Then in 2003 Top Thrill Dragster was some what the same, fear, nervieness, and just alittle bit scared, but I came throw and loved it!!

And agian MF and TTD are very smooth coasters, Mantis along with Raptor have some roughness but are ok and fun, and what DBCP said about Mean Streak letting your back rest back agested the seat back, the ride is more enjoyable. Have a ball on your next trip riding the monster Top Thrill Dragster!!!!!! :) *** Edited 5/9/2006 3:08:53 AM UTC by Daniel Smith*** *** Edited 5/9/2006 3:09:22 AM UTC by Daniel Smith***

Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"

so you rode MF before magnum right? That is good because you will notice the BIG difference between the two better if oyu start bigger. Magnum has more -gs and MF has the speed.

I can't wait for my first MF ride and CP trip June 21-22. I will probably be nervous as hell.

Congratulations on your first ride! Millenium Force was the first coaster that, after riding, I actually gave a standing ovation on the platform. It has been my favorite steel coaster ever since (as evidenced by my screen name). The first coaster over 300feet tall, and, until Steel Dragon 2000 is operational again, the tallest operating conventional (i.e., gravity-propelled) coaster in the world. Here's to many more rides on Millie!

Ah, first time on Millennium Force; probably one of the greatest feelings ever. I remember back in 2000, my first ride was when I was 8 years old, and I was going through the exact same feelings you were, except maybe a little bit more excited than scared. What a good ride though, I'm a total addict to it.

Mean Streak is indeed always rough. Sometimes so rough I feel like my insides are being shook up. But like DBCP said, it isn't so rough if you have your back against the back rest.

Remember to tell us about your first ride on TTD. That is going to be such a great ride if you enjoy MF so much. Take advantage of it this year though if possible -- it's running so well!

On my first ride, I almost pooped my pants. I went directly to the Red Garter and got a beer. Even using 2 hands, I still spilled some.

The girl I was with loved it. But then, she jumps out of airplanes, too.

It's now my favorite (sorry Matt, I like Magnum, too). :)

Some advice for your first TTD ride: As hard as it is, RELAX and you will enjoy it a lot more (this helps me a lot on drop rides too). Also, try to ride it at least twice, because you will probably enjoy it a lot more the second time. The first time I rode it, I was shaking uncontroably; and it was more of something that I completed than something I enjoyed. But this year, I relaxed and enjoyed it a lot more. I even managed to read my speed on the sign at the end of the launch (120 as usual).
