May 30 and Close to an Hour on May 31

Yesterday morning I woke up and thought it would be another Saturday at home. My mom later brought the idea up that if we found a cheap room, what if we went to Cedar Point? I was behind it 100%! It was around the 11:00AM hour that we left and I drove up to the park. We got a great parking space by Hotel Breakers. Around 2, we got there and were able to check in. We also got upgraded, no charge. This day was already going well. Around 2:10, I went to the park after we unloaded.

There are mixed opinions on "Got Country," so that was the main thing I wanted to see. I got there at the end of the 2:00 show and quickly found a table for the next show. I enjoyed it! It was very interesting, I believe. After that, I met up with my mom (not on purpose). We went to the front of the park and rode Cedar Downs Racing Derby and ate at Johnny Rockets. I got a Streamliner burger, which was good. However, that may not be a staple on each trip. We then went to the Main Midway Games because we had a coupon which we ended up not using. One of the Top Glo workers saw my Little Shop of Horrors shirt and commented on it.

Anyway, we then went to "All Wheels Extreme" at 5. I thought it was okay to relax. Afterwards, we split and she went to the Garter for the 6PM show. I thought about getting a shirt at Airbrushed, but decided not to. I then looked in Pagoda for anything. No luck for me. Anyway, I walked around and got Dibs and waited for the 7:00 show. Again, I liked the show. I also liked how the servers got into the show as well, clapping along. Near the end, two of the people (Eli and I want to say Jeremy or Derek??) also went towards them too. I'm beginning to think that the show will become a staple to see on each trip.

I just spent most of the night walking around the park. Somepoint during the night, I rode the railroad from Frontier Town back to the Main Midway. I bought a Cedar Point shirt that I liked. I did see the Starlight Experience and got the glasses for it. It looked really nice! Then, we went to play Top Glo and the same worker was there. He told us, "I remember people's shirts from musicals I like. Let me guess, you were the Rick Moranis character." Good guess, but I'm a girl and I was part of the chorus. We played twice and lost. We left for the hotel room after that, showered and went to bed.

This morning, I got up a few minutes before 7AM. I got around and went to Ship Store to look for any cute shirts. Again, I had no luck. After oatmeal and chocolate milk for breakfast, I left for the park around 8:20. The beach entrance wasn't very popular today. It was 8:40 before anyone else got there. Also, at 9, I didn't hear the National Anthem. We got in and I wanted to ride Iron Dragon. It's down, so I walk to the back of the park and decided to ride Maverick for my first time. It was pretty much a walk-on and I liked it. It was intense at points, but okay. Then, I rode it again and then made my way out of the park to leave by 10 because our school had graduation and I had to be there for what I call "musical entertainment." :P

Not too many rides, but it was a Saturday and many different groups were there.

Our band goes up Thursday, so I'll make a report on that day, too!

I went last Tuesday though Thursday, and we stayed at the Breakers, used the getaway guide $30 off per night, and still got upgraded for free too! We booked a room in the Bon Air section , and they put us in the tower facing the park.
The Hotel staff all seemed super cool, and very nice and helpful, they said they gave us the upgrade since they had over 400 rooms open those nights, you could tell too, the place was empty!

That's cool! I'm guessing that won't be the case this weekend. Doesn't hurt to try though. I booked a room in Bon Aire for Coastermania because I couldn`t justify the outrageous prices in LHP for a cabin. Me and my friends don`t mind spending $75 each to stay at LHP for Closing Weekend, but the prices were considerably higher for Coastermania weekend. Looking now though I see all of LHP is sold out for this weekend so I guess some people don`t mind.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
