May 30, 2009- A Fun Day
Yesterday, a few friends, my mom, and I went to the park for a little vacation. We got there at 9:30, and went straight into the park, but we had to wait for them to move the gates so we could actually get onto the rides. We headed right to Wicked Twister, which had a five minute wait. We rode in the very back, which was one of the coolest experiences ever! That ride is so underrated. Next, we hit maXair, which had about a 15 minute wait. That was fun, especially looking straight down way up in the sky. We walked over to Magnum and got on within 10 minutes. That ride had a lot of airtime, and was one of the better rides I have had on that in a while. We headed over to Gemini, but learned that it was only running the red side and had an hour wait, so we went to go get a pretzel since it was noon. My one friend and I jumped in line for Dragster, which was advertised as an hour wait, while my other friends went to go play games. The line was moving quick and the ride was running great. We made it up to the entrance ramp before the station when the ride broke down. We waited it out for about a half hour, until we learned that the ride would not open up for another two hours. We left the line and net up with our freinds. We all wanted to ride Maverick, so we made our way over there from the games. Gemini was running both sides who two trains each, so we hopped on that with a ten minute wait. The queue was pretty full, but it went by really fast. The ride was awesome, and had a lot of airtime! We went over to Maverick and saw that it had a 1 hour and 45 minute wait, so we decided to come back a little later. We went over and rode Mean Streak with a 45 minute wait. One section of the queue was totally full, which was something I have never seen before. I thought the ride was good. It was not that rough for me, although I did not like the trims. Overall, it was fun. We went and saw that Maverick still had a hour and 45 minute wait, but we got in line anyway since we knew it was worth it. The wait went by fast, thanks to the ride operators. We were on within an hour. We sat in the last row, which gave us amazing airtime! The first drop is awesome, and that is easily one of my favorite coasters in the park! We wanted to ride Magnum again, so we went over there. The line was over and hour and a half long, and a lot of the queue was filled up. My friend and I decided to try Dragster again, which was now running with an advertised two hour wait. We hopped in line and were on within an hour. We sat in the second row of the gold train. Our ride was amazing! It was so fast and just plain awesome! We both were really happy now since we got on it. We went back and met up with our friends who were playing games again. All of us, including my mom, went and got somwthing to eat at the Joe Cool restaurant next to Planet Snoopy. The food was very good. It was about 7:00, and I ran back to my locker at Top Thrill Dragster, and took some things out to the car. I went back into the park and met up with my friends again. We rode Blue Streak twice, which were both walk-ons. Those rides were really fun, and had some great airtime. We went back to Magnum which had a five minute wait, and the ride was awesome! All of us then wanted to ride Dragster, so we all got in line with a hour wait. We got on, and had a sweet ride! =) The day at Cedar Point was truly amazing!
