Great trip!

Overall observations:
- the park looked great! Everything looked brand new. You can tell that CP takes extreme care refurbishing the cars and keeping them clean. Operations were efficient as well with no stacking noticed.
- Crowds were extremely light on Sunday, and were heavier on Mon. I expected it to be the other way around, but I guess the weather forecast must have kept people away.
- the staff was very friendly and upbeat.
- Melt is a fantastic museum! Cool memerobelia! Make sure to check it out even if you don't plan on eating there.
- the retro shirts are awesome! I wish I had more money to spend so I could pick up all of them.
- stayed in a cottage on-point and loved it. The view was great and the staff did a great job of keeping everything clean. The views of Mean Streak construction was a nice touch too.

The rides:
- Dragster was running great today.
- Valravn exceeded my expectations. Got two rides, once in the front and once in the back. Both provided airtime and an amazing drop.
- Rode Gatekeeper in the front for the first time and got some nice airtime in the hill everyone says doesn't provide any and even at the end coming off of the mid-course brakes.
- Gemini was running smooth this year and it appeared they did some welding on the track recently, so they would explain it.
- Magnum is great as always. I don't know why there are so many haters out there. I think it's still a top 10 ride even if it is a little bumpy.
- Mean Streak 2.0 looks amazing. The pictures don't do it any justice.ots of ledgers are going in through the structure and this things going do some crazy maneuvers.
- Maxair still scares the crap out of me and I've still never been on it. Every time I go, I tell myself this is the day, then I chicken out...Someday!

Minuses:
I only issue I had the entire time we were there was that Skyhawk only allowed the person waiting for parent swap to ride, so that person using the system had to ride alone. Oh, one more thing....I don't think the resort gate road crossing is going to work very well. In the morning, crowds back up through the crossing and cars back up frequently throughout the day. I miss the tunnel.

We are staying in a cottage for the first time in July. Anything you wish you would have know ahead of time?

The only thing I'd suggest is bringing bug spray and a windbreaker. The bugs weren't biting, but they were out. Also, being on the lake, it can get windy if you're hanging out on the deck. I'd also recommend bringing stuff to grill. They clean them out every day and you can save a lot of money if you plan your meals at the cottage. Oh, and bring a swimsuit. The pool is nice and also has a splash pad, hot tub, and great views of Mean Streak 2.0 construction.

Go on MaXair, you won't be sorry. If you can ride Skyhawk you will enjoy MaXair, very fun ride and I think Skyhawk is actually scarier.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Agree on maXair.. I love them both, but I think Skyhawk is the scarier of the two. maXair just provides some incredible views, and it's a fantastic ride cycle. Easily one of my favorite flat rides.
