May 27 Report

Arrived at the park with my girlfriend (her first time to CP) at about 10:30 to a surprisingly empty parking lot. I decided to get the Fast Lane passes online anticipating heavy crowds and despite the regular lines being relatively short for a holiday weekend, the passes made our trip AWESOME.

Raptor X2 - First ride of the day is always on Raptor. Waited about 5 minutes each ride with the Fast Pass and sat toward the back as it was the shortest wait the first time. Rode it again on our way out of the park in the middle. Always a great way to start and end the day.

Millennium Force X4 - Second ride of the day on my all time favorite coaster! Waited in line for about 15 minutes the first ride and sat toward the front and it was obviously amazing. The next two rides were about 20 minute waits and the final ride was toward the end of the day and about a 10 minute wait. My gf agreed at the end of the day it was her favorite coaster at any park. I think she's a keeper ;)We decided not to wait for the front as the line was very long for it all day but we'll get around to it next time.

TTD X2 - First wait time was about 20 minutes and we sat toward the back since the line was the shortest for it (we're slightly impatient if you can't tell). We got the purple train and it felt quicker than usual (could have just been my adrenaline making it feel like it was). Easily made it over the top although I would like to rollback one of these days. At the end of the first ride we were both grinning ear to ear. We went to ride it a couple of hours later and it broke down as soon as we got in line. Went back later after seeing the train cresting the hill and had a 15 minute wait and we sat toward the front this time. We got the green train and seemed to have a little more trouble making the hill, but still ended up being a great ride.

Maverick X2 - After a 15 minute wait and warning my gf her head may get tossed around a bit, we sat toward the front for the first ride. The drop and the launch in the middle of the track took her by surprise but it was a great ride as always. Sat in the back the second ride after a 10 minute wait and had a blast.

Mantis X2 - Ten minute wait for each ride and stood in the middle of the train for both rides. My gf ended up liking it quite a bit so we rode it twice. Fun as always but my knees didn't appreciate the pressure it exerts very much..

Magnum X1 - Always a classic in my book but it was a little too bumpy in some places for my gf and made her head hurt so we only rode it once. Five minute wait and sat in the middle.

Wicked Twister X1 - We initially rode Disaster Transport to cool off a bit, but Wicked Twister was much better for that. It was about a 10-15 minute wait and the breeze coming off the lake was chilly. Felt great to me but too cold for my gf but she toughed it out. Sat all the way in the back and had a fun ride. Still wish they would change the ugly color scheme on it.

Skyhawk, MaxAir, Disaster Transport - All one ride. Loved Skyhawk and MaxAir but DT was mediocre as always. Less than a 5 minute wait for all of them.

Windseeker - It was running the first part of the day but broke down at some point and it never opened back up. I missed out on it last year because they were either finishing it up or testing it when I went and now it was broken down this time. Hopefully I'll finally get to ride it if I make a second trip this year. Kings Island is much closer so I may end up experiencing it there. Who knows..I just want to ride it!

Stayed away from the wooden coasters as neither of us are big fans. Ate once for lunch at Panda Express which is always great. Left the park at about 8 since we got in a lot of rides and were getting hungry. Stayed at the Super 8 in Milan (20 minutes down the road) and it was a really nice stay. They have a restaurant, Italian Gardens, that is attached to the hotel and it was DELICIOUS. Definitely recommend it if you're an Italian fan.

All in all a great trip to CP. It was supposed to be a lot hotter but it stayed below 80 and you could feel that cool breeze from the lake throughout much of the park so it worked out really well. Met a lot of great military personnel while waiting in line which was also great. Hope to make the 5 1/2 hour drive again this season!

Cedar Points Windseeker is a lot better. There is much more to see than the one a Kings Island, But the ride its self is the same.

I love Cedar Point

We got on all major rides an hour before the general public arrived. They also opened up Top Thrill Dragster this year. We have season passes and stayed at the campground. Ride ON!
