We arrived at about 9:30a.m. (mild traffic) First, my dad and I got our Fast Lane bracelets. We went to Donut Time to get a better breakfast (All we had was Corn Flakes and we were getting kind of hungry.) We went to one of the generic gift shops to buy these straps to keep our glasses/sunglasses on during the rides.
Our first ride was Raptor. The lines were like usual but since we had FL we got right up there with a 8 minute wait for the front. The ride was awesome. It seemed rougher but I still had fun(:
Next was Blue Streak. We didn't feel like waiting for the front so we got in line for the shortest row which was somewhere in the middle. On our way up the lift hill the train stopped because someone had their camera out and was recording. Finally, they confiscated it and the ride started up again. I thought it was an enjoyable ride. My dad who isn't a fan of rough rides thought it was ok. Those bunny hills have a lot of air!
I hadn't ridden Dragster, Millennium, Wicked Twister, or Magnum yet. My dad really wanted to get me on them all. He insisted that we go on Dragster next because it was right there but I wanted to "work my way up" and I wasn't sure If I was going to ride it yet. So instead we rode Corkscrew.
Corkscrew's lines were moderate and with FL, it was a "get on, get off" type of ride. The ride was short and rough as always but we had some fun on it.
Then, we proceeded to Gemini which is always a fun ride. During the wait we chatted with a nice ride operator about how I was scared to ride MF. She assured me that if I can ride Magnum then I can ride MF. Gemini was nice and we enjoyed it but unfortunately only the red train was running in the moring so we didn't get that racing feel.
Next was the legendary Magnum XL - 200! This was my first ride so I was nervous and excited. We got on in the middle of the train. It was a really thrilling ride! It was a little rough but since it was made in 1989. you can't blame it. The bunny hills really made you slam against your lap bar with tons of airtime. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to go again! We had lots of fun. I wanted to go for a third time but my dad said we could later.
After Magnum, I wanted to ride my favorite, Maverick. We waited for the front with a 20 minute wait because some lady was complaining on and on and on about how her son was too short to ride and how they should've measured him before..and anyway, Maverick was tons of fun, which we rode 3 times throughout the day!
Next was Mean Streak. I thought for sure my dad was going to hate this ride because it was rough but I was surpised, it was actually much smoother than last year. We sat in the front. I wouldn't mind riding it again.
We were getting hungry as lunch time was approaching. We stopped at Chick-Fil-A (Yum!). The food was delicious. My dad kept talking about Dragster and how I would "love" it. I was getting more and more nervous because I knew I had to ride it sooner or later.
Finally, my dad and I proceeded to Dragster. There were a million "knots" in my stomach. I wasn't sure if I should ride it yet...I was so close to chickening out, I decided to go anyway. YOLO (; We got in line and I started to cry! (If you saw a 12 year old girl with brown hair, glasses and a blue ruffle shirt, then that was me) We sat in the middle of the train. I was so nervous. I was literally shaking with fear. The train went out onto the launching platform. I made my dad hold my hand. The speakers said," Head Back, Hands Down, and Hold On" but it kept repeating "Hands Down" lol. The Lights flashed like a Christmas Tree and we went 0 to 120 mph in 4 seconds! It was crazy! We went so fast. I couldn't believe I was actually on the Dragster! When we reached the top, I looked around and Cedar Point looked so pretty! But then we were sent spiraling down the hill! I actually enjoyed going down. Dragster wasn't my favorite but I'll definately ride it again (:
We bought my picture, I looked so hilarious! My dad wanted to try the front row but I decided to just wait for him. After, we went to the Lake Erie Railroad train ride. It was relaxing after riding the Dragster. It seems a lot of The Paddlewheel Excursion props were moved in the woods to be scenery for the train.
Later, we got in line for Mantis. We sat (or should I say stood) in the front row, My dad loved it! He said it was really smooth. I like it except it makes my legs hurt really bad.
You all know what is across the Mantis...Millennium Force! I made my dad ride it by himself. It was his first ride. I was too scared. I just waited at Panda Express. I kept thinking about it, but I still wasn't sure. My mom liked it, my cousin liked it, my aunt and uncle liked it so why wouldn't I like it? Finally, my dad came back and said how fun and smooth the ride is. I decided to suck it up and get on it. I was so scared and I was crying. A lot of people told me that it wasn't scary and the ride operator told me it was going to be my favorite...I tightened my seatbelt as tight as it could go and pulled my lapbar as far down as I could. Then, were getting pulled up the lift hill. I wasn't crying anymore. We reached the top and crested the hill as we began our descent. I pushed my feet on the floor, clenched my teeth, and held on to my lapbar. I was surprised! It wasn' t as intense as I thought it would be. I was actually enjoying it. I couldn't believe I was on it! Two years ago, I wouldn't even ride Iron Dragon (I know, lame) The hills were so much fun! We decided to go again. I was in love with this ride! I had my hands up most of the time! No wonder it's the best steel coaster in the world.
To finish off my list of coasters I haven't ridden, we headed down to Wicked Twister. I wonder why it doesn't have FL. I really wasn't scared but I know my dad wasn't looking forward to this, because he hates spinning and going backwards. The beach was beautiful, it was pretty funny watching drunk people spin around in circles and then fall down. Finally we got in our seats in the middle of the train, the seats are pretty high off the ground. The ride operator said" In 3...2...1...and we launched! It was fun going back and forth. My dad hated that ride but I'm thankful he rode it with me.
I wanted to ride Magnum XL-200 and Millennium Force one more time before we left. We got on Magnum and guess who was in front of us...the same lady who was complaining on the Maverick. She was arguing with the ride op about keeping her bag with her during the ride. Finally she gave in and put her bag in the box. They even told her they were going to take her to Guest Services, if she didn't listen to the ride ops. Magnum was fun ...love those bunny hills (; When we were waiting to get off, the complaing lady was yelling at her 7-8 year old son saying that he was a chicken for not riding Power Tower. Nice parent...Anyway, we headed down to Millennium Force.
We were greeted by a nice ride op saying that the train was stuck at the top of the hill because someone unbluckled their seatbelt in order to get more air. We decided to wait because it's worth it. We chatted with the ride op and some really nice people about our favorite rides and stuff like that. Finally, the train finished the rest of the ride and it came back. People were booing them! LOL! They let us in the entrance and the line wasn't to bad. My dad and I decided to sit in our favorite seat. 5th row! We had so much fun that we decided to go again! Millennium Force is so fun at sunset. The views are beautiful from the top of the hill.
I was kind of sad about leaving ): but I knew I was going to come again this season with my mom's side of the family. I'm finally part of the ride warriors group(; I bought a t-shirt with Millennium Force, Magnum XL-200, Maverick, and Raptor on it. I'm so happy I rode all the big roller coasters I haven't rode before. I can't wait to go back! Fast Lane is worth it! We got to go on 20 roller coasters, most of them being major coasters.
*If your wondering, I'm 12 but I'm turining 13 on May 31, I didn't want people thinking I was like 30-something and crying in line (:*
As you can see from my signature that MF is my favorite now.

Great review Taylor!
I'm glad you had such a fun time!
And congrats on conquering your fears of MF and TTD!
Sounds like a great trip! Now you can look forward to those great coasters evey time you go back. You'll find that the next time you go, you won't be as scared, or maybe not even scared at all, to go on TTD and MF.
