This was my third annual Victoria Day Cedar Point trip. It was a bus trip, 6 of us in total. This year 3 new people came, 2 who had never been before. The weather was beautiful, better than any previous trip. We got to the park around 8:45 and had to wait until 9 so they could get our group tickets. We got into the park but had to wait at a gate on the midway near Raptor until 9:30. We took a look in the shop under the Skyride station. Right at 9:30 we were ready to go. We headed straight to Dragster and they weren’t letting anyone in the queue yet. The line was short, not even to the bleachers. I witnessed the guy who listens to his cd player and dances for the first time, he was a few people a head of us. They let us into the queue around 10 and we got right up to the station and only had 3 trains worth of people in front of us. After about 5 rollbacks and switching to manual, it was our turn. I rode in the second row of the red train. No rollback :(.
We went on to Magnum. Pretty much a walk on, only 2 people in front of us. I rode back row. It was excellent and smooth. Then we went to Gemini, blue train operation only. We waited about five minutes for the back row. At this point 2 people from our group wanted to get food, so the 3 others and I headed to Skyhawk for our first ride. We walked up and were told to go to seats 16, 17, 18, and 19. We all loved it. Being able to walk onto is was even better. However it was way too short. Next we hit up Antique Cars, always a fun relaxing ride. I got my first view of the construction site, very interesting. Onward to Mean Streak. It was a walk on to the second last seat. It was a decent ride.
Now it was time to meet up with the others again, in front of Gemini. On the way I picked up an elephant ear from Stockade Refreshments. Horrible food service experience. The girl who was making them took forever. Most of them had holes in them because the dough ripped in half on the way to the fryer. Then they ran out of cinnamon sugar so frantically started opening sugar packets which were meant for coffee. Then two people in front of me got coffee, and they had no sugar for them. It took me about 20 minutes to get mine. It’s a good thing I love elephant ears. We sat for a minute then walked to our friends. At that point we all sat together and finished up our food. We headed back to Frontier Town and took the train to the Main Midway.
We headed to Wildcat when we got off the train. Excellent ride, as always. We skipped Mantis because it had a huge line. Iron Dragon also had a fairly long line. We got on Skyride and headed up to the front. Wicked Twister was first. We waited about 20 minutes for the middle of the train. After that 3 of us (myself included) went to maXair, and the other 3 went to Giant Wheel. MaXair seems much longer this year and a great ride. We headed across the midway, stopping at the Carousel. After that we went to Blue Streak. It was a very rough ride. We stopped at Turnpike while we were there. That was more uncomfortable than Blue Streak. We had fun though. At that point me and another friend got some ice cream of the future, I'm a sucker for it. We found some grass behind Raptors photo building and relaxed there for about 20 minutes. Three of us went to Demon Drop and the other three went to get our stuff from the locker. Demon Drop was fun. We looked around for a bit at Park Plaza then met up with the others and got some food.
We went over to the lockers by the desolate Millennium Force and dropped our stuff off. We hopped on the train and I took a bunch of pictures of the construction. When we arrived in Frontier Town the other 5 went to Antique Cars while I got some shots of the construction and Skyhawk. I met up with them and we took a look in Town Hall. We loved in there. We played the old games, looked at the displays, and had a great time. After that 3 went on Wave Swinger and us 3 just sat and watched. It was time to start heading up front so we walked the beautiful Frontier Trail, making a few great stops. First up was the glass shop. Beautiful stuff in there. Next was JW Addington’s. It was really neat in there. After that was my favourite, the petting zoo. I got to meet Earl, a really big goat. He had his front hoofs up on the fence and I got an excellent picture with him. We went on and stopped in at the Woodcarver’s Shop. There was so much neat stuff in there. I wanted to buy it all.
At this point we were back at the lockers. We got our bags and went to Coasters. This year in the Getaway Guide there is a coupon for buy one burger, get free fries. Excellent idea because only my burger and fries cost me 8 dollars. We all ate and relaxed before we had to get back on the bus.

Summary
Park operations was decent, other than my elephant ear experience. I didn't see any cotton candy carts, but did pick some up from the shop on the main midway. As we sat eating food across from Gemini, an employee came to us and just chatted. She asked how we were doing, how the trip was, and how we enjoyed the rides. It's nice to see that happen. Skyhawk did take a while to load. The seats were horrible uncomfortable. It was really low in the back and high in the front. My thighs felt like they couldn't fit. At least the ride is fun, but could use another couple of full swings.
This trip was a new experience for me. We did all of our riding and finished up around 3, which meant we still had about another 5 hours to do as we pleased. We just sat around, explored, and browsed. This may have been the best trip that I've had.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Good Trip report, I enjoyed reading it. Magnum is such an awsome ride, its unbelievable the lines are usually so short. But I do remember times when the queue was full, although that was before MF was built. Im going June 11 and 12th, and I cant wait!
LOL! I was right behind you in the line for TTD! I think I might of seen you... That guy with the CD player is pretty funny.
