May 21st and 22nd

Arrived at CP at 4pm Sunday-should have ridden MF but daughter and I decided Sunday night was for Raptor only so she and I managed 3 flights b/4 park closed. Bunch of jerks on line-between the smokers and the line jumpers I WISHED there were no kids there (sorry anyone under 20 but these kids were idiots) Raptor was awesome and I am finally getting to know the new ride ops.
Day 2. Arrived at the park at 8:30 to find the tik lines full-kind of funny when my daughter and I still ended up being the 1st ones in the season pass holders line! We decided to ride Magnum 1st (knowing MF closed till noon) mistake
Hint # 1 today not going to be that great
wake up call to hotel for 6:30am-no call
luckelly I woke up at 7 anyway
The people in the tiks lines were saying some of the STUPIEST stuff (I heard MF really goes 120 but CP not allowed to say)
then waiting from 9:15-10am in Magnums line to be told it was down and they had no idea when it would reopen. So my daughter and I basically hit up everything else we could and at 11:45 decided to go on MFs line. (which by this time was clear past the sign stand in Frontiertown) I didnt see any test trains so I knew there was a prob. (idiot behind me in line-they have to use a torch or something to get the wheels warmed up)
By 12:20 employees went down the line to tell us ride was inoperable and no clue when it would reopen. We walked passed the front of the line to listen to those people go on and on about how unfair it was of CP not to tell them the ride wasnt going to open since they had already waited there 3 hours (apparently they got to the line @ 9am and waited all morning) I say "oh well-move on-no one told you to sit there for 3 hours"-of course CP people and the CP police trying to handle the situation. My daughter and I still had a ball-even being MFless-
got 2 more rides in on Raptor-the only big thing we didnt ride was MS (an hour wait-no way) and PT (Im chicken-will dodge this thing every chance I get) We left CP at 7pm last night-home by 9:40pm.
The best thing that happened?
Met a bunch more people
The worst thing that happened?
When we got back to my truck I saw that some *&^%^&^% jerk had put a lit cigarette on my tondeau cover of my truck and burned a big hole in it.
This was NO accident-the piece of crap van that was next to us was gone when we left-that cig was PLACED on the cover and did exactly the damage the idiot wanted it to--I was FURIOUS. (Wonder if it is because I have Cedar Point on my bugshield and they were POd MF wasnt running? Like that was my trucks fault?)
So this trip will prob end up costing me an add'l $100.00 to repair my 6 month old tondeau cover.
Despite that
still had a BLAST
I adore that park
and the countdown to Coastermania begins

Did you see the gang of about 150 angry people at the front gate around 7:00pm trying to get answers from park management as to why MF was closed all day?

you were probably in front of me in the raptor line Luvraptor, I looked but could not find you. I even watched the trains coming in the station (back car right seat as that is your favorite) didn't see you. I almost yelled out in line "Is LuvRaptor here in this line" but I thought nah. Rode twice sunday night. from between 4:30 and 6:30pm.

Vince-yes I saw the gang of people at the front gate at 7pm since thats when we left. Ya know I guess it is just me-but at least CP had MF up and running when it was planned on-to my knowledge this was the only day that it wasnt running (someone correct me if I am wrong)
and although I can understand someone's frustration at MF being inoperable-my ?? is
why ask park management what the deal is? They are not mechanics nor computer experts. Secondly
what exactly is it you expect CP to do-call everyone who has tickets or is planning on a trip to the park and advise them that MF may not be running that day? PLEASE!! I found it alot more frustrating after driving to PKI to find SOB not running (after the debute being delayed for 3 weeks) Try going THERE and not being able to ride SOB-you are basically screwed after that cause all that is left is the SAME OLD CRAP!
CP did not purposely keep MF from running-
so what you all needed to do is take a deep breath and plan another trip some other day.

LuvRaptor,
Just wondered if you ever rode Incredible Hulk at Universal's Islands of Adventure yet? Raptor and IH are similar. Rode IH 20 times last week, but have only rode raptor twice so far last year. Can't wait to compare them in July! Just looking for an expert to compare.

Thanks for writing back. I can highly recommend Dueling Dragons, too. They are builing a new one as well called "The Flying Unicorn". Should be open later on this summer. Seaworld just opened a new coaster, too! Not sure who built either one, though.
