We left out of Memphis on Saturday and arrived in Sandusky that night. Sunday morning we took off to the park, the first thing we noticed was that Millenium Force was closed....that really sucked. No terribly long waits the entire day because everyone was trying to ride TTD. Magnum rocked as always, Wicked twister was tight as always, Sky Hawk was excellent, except it was slow loading. Max Air was freaking great. Mantis seemed smoother than I remembered. Raptor was incredible, rode it three times. Also rode the usual things like Demon Drop, etc. Finished Sunday off with a ride on TTD, the wait by that time was 30-45 minutes. Oh yeah, rode Power Tower about 5 times......excellent.
If you ever get the chance...and you are old enough, you should try this one......ride all the major rides early in the day, at about 3 or 4, leave the park and go to the gas station, pick up a case of beer, take the beer to the park, CONSUME until you feel a good buzz(in the parking lot of course), then ride the Majors again!!!! Demon Drop is 10 times better with a buzz.......we are such lushes.
We came back on Monday ready to tackle MF....guess what? Down again.....the lady up front said that it would be down for the entire week!!! We saw tons of school busses approaching the park and said to ourselves....today will suck with no MF and a park full of school children, so we decided to head on down to Holiday World in Santa Claus Indiana.
NOW we get to the meat of the trip......THE VOYAGE, a new woodie at Holiday World.....time to put it to the test. Now we went to HW last year because we heard about the two woodies they had, the raven and the legend.....we weren't too impressed with those two, but the waterpark and the great staff made us want to come back. Let me tell you something people.. The Voyage is freakin UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Cedar Point needs a woodie like this. It is a complete mind-warp, incredibly fast, air time out the #ss, just amazing.
I have ridden woodies all over the country, The Beast has always been my favorite, almost impossible to de-throne. The Voyage has defeated the Beast...i hate to say it, but i have a new #1. Anyone who is anywhere near Santa Claus Indiana needs to RUN not walk to ride this monster. It is World Class.......and it blew away that joke called mean streak.
We had a great time at both parks, but if ya give Holiday World a chance, you won't be disappointed.

I went to Holiday world for the first time last year, and I was very impressed. I thought their two coasters were awsome though. But yea Voyage looks incredible. Unfortunatley I dont think I will make it to Holiday world this year. Good trip report though.
