It was the annual Howell High School Cedar Point Trip, and it was suppose to rain, but I hoped the weather would be good. We left the school at 6:30 and arrived at the park at 9:30. When we arrived it was overcast, but no rain clouds were in sight. They had not opened the park yet, so we went for a ride on the Midway Carosel(sp?).
The them of the day was walk-on. When the park opened we went on Raptor, which was a walk-on. We then headed over to maXair and WT, both walk-ons, and I rode back-row of WT(it was awesome!). After that we were heading to the back of the park and checked on the wait of Dragster. It was a half hour, so we went on, and it was good as always. Then we went on Maggie(a walk on, and they only had the first 2 ans last 2 cars open), and Gemini, which I rode front row. We then headed over to MS(walk on as always) and checked out the construction site(man there are a lot of footers there!). We then walked on to SkyHawk, which takes forever to load, and was pretty short, but good. By this time it was about noon, so we headed over to Coasters for some lunch. By this time it had cleared up and was about 70 degrees!
After lunch we went on Millie, which had about a 15 minute wait. Then over to Mantis for a walk on, and another ride on Millie. I rode front row Millie, and it was the craziest thing ever! We then headed to the front of the park and walked on to a front-row Raptor flight and a front-row WT ride, with only about 3 of the rows full! And to a crappy ride on DT, front row. It was so weird, there were no lights on at all on DT. It was just pitch black dark. We then walked on to Space Shot PT, and waited about 30 minutes for a dragster launch. By this time it was about 4 pm, and we were leaving at 6, so we went back to Maggie, and I rode front row, and went on SkyHawk again. And then quickly went on another ride on Millie.
Overall, this was a perfect day! The weather was suppose to be cloudy and stormy, but it was sunny all day! The predicted weather probably scared away any crowds that were going to be there. The longest wait of the day was probably either TTD or Millie front row.
Final Count:
Raptor: 2 (1 front row)
WT: 2 (1 front and 1 back)
TTD: 2
Maggie: 2 (1 front)
Gemini: 1 front
MS: 1
SkyHawk: 2
MaXair: 1
Millie: 3 (1 front)
Mantis: 1
PT: 1 space shot
DT: 1 front

Howell? Well its a pretty big town, and not racist, so no one start about that. If you don't know what I am talking about, then don't ask.

Good thing you left at 6. At 7 the sun was out and by 7:15 the sky was totally dark and all major rides were down "due to inclement weather." I hated being the next person on TTD and having to exit; but your right, overall the day was beautiful, especially for what we have been having.

Hay I was there on the 17th to sctmm31, your right it was a perfect day. Short lines with good weather. Then at the end of the night, TTD had a 10 min or less line. Me and my dad were trying to start a 5 rides in a row, like we did the night before. But only got one in, almost got two but, as soon as we got loaded into the gold train (I think that was the color) we saw lighting, then it closed for weather. Nice trip report.
Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"
We stopped at one of the service plazas right outside of Sandusky, and the sky started getting really dark and it started pouring. Good thing it didn't rain earlier!
